Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

What about m2100?
m2100 pulls native data via wifi and usb port. im using orbic 5g since it has ethernet port. no need to change TTL either.

so connect the output of the ethernet from orbic to the router and that works? No need to change the router ttl?

I already bought a kvd21 and nok5g21.. can I put them to any use for unlimited data?

That's unfortunate to hear and strange. I have been heavily using my Orbic 5G over the last few weeks through many states (PA/NJ/NY) without any throttling or issues. Interestingly the display shows I used 91gb, while the website says 46gb, it's like it's double counting.

Hotspot usage is still at 0 on the tmobile website.

I'm really curious what triggered the data issue for you.

edit : Also in a week I'll be travelling internationally to Europe with the device, curious to see what will happen.
How did your europe travel go?

I haven't consumed hotspot data (in Cudy LT500 router) so I can't answer your question; hopefully someone else can chime in.

no TTL change needed with orbic. with tmobile gateway, you need TTL changed to pull native data

No problem, worked fine on 3G through my whole trip on the Orbic 5G and was seen as on device data, though limited to 256kbps. Ended up going through 5gb without problems. The t-mobile site shows the data activity in the country I was in.

I did move the sim to a phone once and got LTE, still capped at 256kbps. I did not make it to any of the 11 countries that offered 5gb so no idea on that.

I have now moved that sim to eSim on my new iphone 14 pro max (global) and I am traveling again soon (Different EU country), so I'll see what happens then. I was annoyed carrying the Orbic around, it was fairly heavy.

Yes that Cudy router supports just LTE with a cat4 modem. You can spend more for the LT18 with cat18 LTE modem or the recently released P5 router that supports 5G. I'm satisfied with the cost tradeoff of the LT500 (~$70 used) for my needs.

Does signing up for this cause a hard pull on your credit? Is there any way around this? If it does, how many points does it usually drop your credit score?

The fastest I've seen on the LTE450/LT500 devices is 55-60 Mbps down and ~25 Mbps upload. Other low end cat4 modems, like the TMOHS1, should be about the same. A location about 10 blocks away gets me one third these speeds so it's obviously dependent on cell signal at the location. TTL 64 on the Cudy itself as it has both the LTE modem and wifi router in one.

I'm using a netgear nighthawk MR6400 from project genesis (unlocked via DC-unlocker) and I can get around 200-300mbps at nights, but during the day I only get around 100mbps but usually around 30-60mpbs. I'm guessing there's not much congestion at night so the speed can reach higher.
