Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Just an update on my own usage with pure hotspot Wi-Fi usage. My Orbic 5G continues to stop providing fast hotspot data via Wi-Fi after 10GB of usage; this is 3 months in a row after going over 20GB a few months ago. I accidentally went over my 10GB this month on day #1 of my month (12/17), so I swapped the sim into my M2100, and I was able to get fast Wi-Fi hotspot usage again. Not sure why my Orbic 5G is being stopped at 10gb while my M2100 can keep going. The Orbic 5G receives a T-Mobile warning around 8GB and then a second text message at 10GB, which is when data slows to a crawl.

On my T-Mobile business website account view, hotspot Wi-Fi data usage all shows up as web data usage for both the Orbic 5G and the M2100.
Good report, thank you - Not really using my M2100, but might just hang on to it incase I ever need it as it seems to be the most compatible with "full usage" on this plan

Cudy has 5g router now. It's about 450 on Amazon. Just pop the SIM in. Easy settings change. Saving $15/month over the $25 home internet deal will break even in around 30 months. So I don't think it's worth it. But spending about $100 on Cudy X6 + used Nokia router was worth it for me.
Any links? Only one I'm seeing is $600

Funny story, I applied online and was sent into a store to provide proof of the documentation with my ID.

They said my account will be set up in 24 to 48 hours. I waited and nothing happened, reached out to customer service. they told me to go back into a store, again I was asked to wait 24 to 48 hours at the store, account is still not set up.

I call customer service again and they tell me to go into a different store this time I wait 24 to 48 hours and nothing happens. I called customer service and I get them sent into a store,

At this time I am fairly confident that the reason that this is such a good deal is because they don't know what they're doing.

For the majority of folks at this worked out great just be aware the moment you have a problem with T-Mobile for business you're not gonna be able to solve it.

Anyone know if m2100 from TMobile will work as unlimited data? Since Tmobile will already have the IMEI wouldnt it have the info that it is a hotspot device and process as hotspot data?

1. It will work without modifications. Just pop in the sim.
2. The latest software update is from August 2021. Works for me. I really don't think there will be another software update; however, it won't update without an active Verizon sim in there. Honestly, don't worry about it.
3. You can factory reset it all you want with no issues. There is no admin username. Once reset the Admin password is the same as the wifi password until you change it.

From my experience: Don't mess with any of the network settings. I think I sabotaged myself messing around with setting the VPN until I figured it out. This device has an issue where it doesn't reset the login information after a factory reset. Mine does it now, but I've learned to live with it. I say once you get it working how you want, stop tinkering with it.
But T-Mobile will see the hotspot (instead of a tablet).
Aren't you changing the IMEI?

for non-portable... NOK 5G21 + router that you can change TTL. Cheaper than Orbic or M2100.
Aren't you worried that it clearly shows a hotspot instead of a tablet being used? Don't you have to change IMEI?

Nope... but it's not my main home internet... It's in the warehouse for security alarm & little computer usage. Rarely over 30 GB per month.

theres a guy here named rich i think. look through past posts for his info. some took up his service and had success. he charges $150 for the work.

I ended up follow owl instead and bought orbic for $120 since it has ethernet port support while m2000, m2100 does not

at that cost.... might as well just buy Inseego m2100... I do have m2100 & Orbic 5g..

based on a few reports... Wifi on Orbic counts as Hotspot data... ethernet connection so far doesn't count as hotspot data. Wifi on m2100 doesn't count as hotspot data.

Too many pages to read, but 2-3 questions. Is this plan still available? And if your business account went to collections more than 10 years ago with Tmo, would they still approve now? If not any suggestions for an alternative plan with other carrier for about same price but does not need to have unlimited data just 5 gigs per month or so would be ok too.

I also considered the custom flash route but have had problems with keeping things updated or maintained as months or years go on, so I chose the M2100/Orbic route since I wanted the least complicated solution (ie out of the box).
