Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I don't understand the Orbic 5G issue or why, mine is still counted as on device data and I have made no changes to the device.

at that cost.... might as well just buy Inseego m2100... I do have m2100 & Orbic 5g..

based on a few reports... Wifi on Orbic counts as Hotspot data... ethernet connection so far doesn't count as hotspot data. Wifi on m2100 doesn't count as hotspot data.
my orbic wifi pull native data. yea for $150 i rather get something else. i got m2100 as well, but then sold it after 2 week since it has no ethernet port and it wouldnt run without battery. orbic doesnt run without battery either, however, it stops charging to battery after couple hrs. i got a message saying its plugged in too long and it just maintains battery life at 58% in trickle charge mode.

Just tried this online, and got spit back out for the credit check using my EIN.. Then I tried my SSN and it still errored out.. spent over an hour on the phone getting bounced between different CSRs - to end up with "You need to go to a store to verify your business information".
Not sure how others have been able to get through the process 100% online.

I just chatted with them and asked to add the HD pass, the rep even confirmed with me the SOC code (HDVPASS0)

I also considered the custom flash route but have had problems with keeping things updated or maintained as months or years go on, so I choose the M2100/Orbic route since I wanted the least complicated solution (ie out of the box).
Do you need two devices? Or just the m2100?

But T-Mobile will see the hotspot (instead of a tablet).
Aren't you changing the IMEI?
It shows in the system as an old blackberry phone.

try this
Code:
iptables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING 1 -j TTL --ttl-set 66
ip6tables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING 1 -j HL --ttl-set 66
the 1 should pass ttl & hl to all interfaces, while you using wwan0 only if there a modem on the device itself and only the modem.

to test if it work correctly
Code:
iptables -vL -t mangle
should see something like this
Code:
Chain POSTROUTING (policy ACCEPT 8318K packets, 5023M bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination
8318K 5023M TTL all -- any any anywhere anywhere TTL set to 66
Why 66? It seems to me the tower expects TTL of 64. If this iptables is applied in the router, that would be 66 - 1 (gateway) = 65, not 64.

m2100 is verizon version. you mean m2000 which is tmobile version. it will require custom flash with verizon rom
The VZW m2100 works out of the box with T-Mo sim -- no custom flash required

it only for this tablet plan when use with the t-mobile gateway, I've test it a few months ago any below 66 is count as hotspot.

If you get the $10 TI business plan can you obtain the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G $99 promotion after bill credits?

It doesn't seem like it to me from going through this thread.

Additionally, has anyone successfully fought and received the autopay discount that shows up at checkout?

A while ago on this thread, I started trying a bunch of different hotspots I bought on eBay, including an Inseego 7700, netgear nighthawk, TMOHS1, the M2000 (that I either resold or returned after it didn't work without a mod), then finally the m2100 and the Orbic.

I was just tinkering but also wanted to help the SD community. I've kept both the Orbic and the m2100. Don't need both, but I still use both occasionally, depending on whether I want something a little lighter and smaller (m2100) to travel with.

Do either devices have an Ethernet port? It would be nice to have a setup where you can just wire the internet connection into an existing router

do either devices require changing the config settings to bypass hotspot limits?
