Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

You need an EIN to do it if you have ever been with T-Mobile before as they already have your SSN
Is there no way around that?

What device you have?

I have T-Mobile NOK 5G21 and have to use TTL 66, I use 65 for TMOHS1 hotspot.

Check speed at fast.com, it should give throttled speed with correct TTL and full speed for first 10 GB with wrong TTL.

I just got the T-Mobile 5g21 trash can, which you use IPV 4 or IPV6 for TTL changing?
Thank you

I don't think can change TTL on it directly, I had to buy and use GL.iNet GL-AR300M16 router from Amazon and use this guide below

I bought the Cudy x6 which has options for ipv4 and ipv6. I just change TTL for ipv4 to 66.
It works and fast.
But how do I check it counts from regular data or from hotspot?
Thanks

Store would probably be worse because than I would need documents. Trying to do it with SS#. Chat is giving me a tough time, only one agent on tonight for business because I got her twice. She asked me if I was registered with secretary state and if I had a website. I should have used my friends business but that would have been too complicated

Both times chat just ended with error , or she cut me off.

If you signed up with SSN you should be able to log into your account online and check usage details.

2 ways

1. Check speeds at Speedtest app/website vs Fast.com. Fast.com is owned by Netflix so the speed should be throttled and not give you full speed. I think it should be 1.2 Mbps at Fast.com or like 6 Mbps max at Fast.com if you HD Pass add on enabled. If Fast.com is giving full speed and not throttling then it is using the high speed 10 GB hotspot allocation of the month, it reset each billing cycle.

2. Check at T-Mobile website, under account and then usage. Some people said they couldn't make account and check usage though.

I signed up with existing business account (no activation fee by the way).
It fast enough just as my T-Mobile business gateway lol. Where I live T-Mobile doesn't have fully coverage. Sometimes it can run to 700, sometimes 30 lol
I can not see that usage at all with business website login

I just spoke to rep on phone. Fact my SS# has been used in the past (I have no active postpaid) was not an issue. I think my credit unfreeze didnt kick in or something like that.

Phone rep was much less inquisitive than chat rep. He did try to talk me into higher rate plan, I had to be persistent.

He said I should receive email and receive device Tuesday due to holiday. I was thinking of not taking table but I felt it was difficult enough with this rep getting the plan so I just took it. He said I wont see the tablet discount on the email, but it will show on the account once its established. Also forgot to ask for HDPASS but I guess I can do that later

1) What's the advantage of eSim vs a physical one? Is it because it's easier to get service on a phone through this plan?

2) Also are you guys paying $20 for the Sim starter kit? Is there a way to avoid that?

3) I'm getting the A7 lite tablet for free for bill credits. If I can cancel the plan before the two years are up, can I just return the tablet and not be charged extra?

Thanks a lot.

1. Some people like have 2 services in 1 phone.
2. Some paid at first and asked rep/agent to credit later after account set up via Twitter or Facebook.
3. If you canceled the service, you'll have to pay the rest of balance on the tablet, you can't return and get the money back or without paying the full amount for the tablet
