Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Wonder if you have to return gateway if you cancel service
+1 here. A brand new gateway for $75 / $50 if you're an existing customer would be an awesome deal

I wonder if this deal ends, if demand for these gateways on eBay go down

The Home Internet for $25/month deal is already expired so that might put a damper on demand also. Not sure if I'm the only one but I got in on that and got a Sagemcom that constantly rebooted by itself. Got a $60 Arcadyan on eBay and the reboots are history.

Yes and no. I still don't know why the Asus router on stock FW doesn't pull hotspot data. Even flashed Merlin and lowered TTL to force it to so, just to understand this. No chance. No matter the FW or TTL setting, the Asus only pulls mobile data. Which means that a) Fast.com was right all along and b) certain video streams are throttled down to HD speeds. The only practical relevance to this is Fubo, which actually drops into SD for a few seconds every minute. Everything else is watchable, Netflix even looks like 4K even though the traffic analyzer says it's not, and certain other apps actually stream 4K (between 20 and 75 Mbps).

To those with MR6400: mine is not connecting to 5G. It connects for a second, then goes to a slow LTE band (in my case, B66). It quickly shows 5G N71 then goes to LTE B66.

Any way to force MR6400 to connect to 5G only? In the interface, the band has All and nothing else.

Actually, I was able to edit the bands, but no matter what I inform, in the interface it always shows 5GNR N71 (and I'm trying to force N41). The mask specified is 0000010000000000.

I thought you dont want to pull hotspot because that will count towards cap of 10gb

Correct. I'm curious by nature and want to know why it's acting like it does. Plus, if it stops doing it one day, I'll need to be able to fix it Wink

Got my sim and tablet yesterday. Today I reached out to t force via twitter regards to adding the hdpass. They said the HD pass cannot be applied with this tablet line. Does it make a difference to have hdpass vs manually select 1080p on youtube?

It definitely can be added to the tablet line. I and many others have it activated.

As far as difference, yes there is one. Without the HDPASS you can select 1080p or even 4K in YouTube. TMO will detect the video stream and downscale it to 480i.

Call 611. From my own experience an overseas agent will gladly do this for you.

MetroPCS is offering existing customers T-Mobile home internet first month FREE, plus get the 5G gateway for only $24.99 [metrobyt-mobile.com], which seems much cheaper than used ones on ebay. You should be able to keep the gateway after you cancel the service.

One issue in fine prints is "Discount for existing customers with 30+ days of tenure. "
Anyone from those recent $40 Metro phone deals have tried to get the 5G gateway for $24.99 with <30days of tenure? Wonder how strictly they enforce the requirement.
Can you just put the tablet sim in the 5g gateway and it works for unlimited internet? Or is there a hack you have to apply?
