Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Can you test with another mobile phone? Also order the free TMOHS1 for evaluation. If these devices work with your $10 SIM, then the Orbic may be blacklisted by T Mo.
Yes, I did test that the SIM works without any issues in my tablet and my phone. It also works fine in the TMOHS1, where I'm using it currently. TMOHS1 speeds are limited to 30-40 Mbps in my area. Orbic was able to get easily 150+ most of the times.
I'm surprised that TMO would tag an Verizon device in their system whereas their own TMOHS1, which they know is a hotspot is allowed to work. Frown

I saw an offering for like-new Asus RT-AC68U pre-configured with the correct TTL for $75, local pickup. Thoughts? Is that what I would need to run this in a 5G gateway?

If you have a mobile hotspot like the inseego, orbic, netgear nighthawks etc, then it will work, if you connect to the Asus via Ethernet and use the asus's wider wireless coverage. If you don't have a device that has a SIM slot, then Asus Router will not work (I don't think it has a SIM slot)

Ok, then the Asus should work. Once you're connected, you can always double check on T-Mobile's portal to see what it counts the data usage as.

Thanks for the update. T Mo won't target TMOHS1 due to 4G speed limitation. My TMOHS1 also puts out 55 Mbps max. Nominal is around 35-45Mbps. The 5G Arcadyan can hit +600Mbps during early morning hours.

This is not good news for us since T Mo can selectively kill any 5G devices that does not meet the TOS. There was another user with a blacklisted 5G device that's supposed to be unused (purchased on Ebay). I will be monitoring this thread to see if others are reporting blacklisted 5G devices.

There are random reports of 5G gateway being blacklisted by T Mo for violating the TOS of the $10 SIM. Did you paid for this 5G device?

PM me in you're in S Cal. I can mod the TMOHS1 for you (free). TMHOS1 will run without the battery. The built-in antenna inside TMOHS1 is marginal, but no antenna will help if you're inside a large building.
Does it power on automatically without battery when it receives a charge? Thinking of getting one for my vehicle

See post 4636. Another user also reported no connection with a "new" 5 G device purchased on Ebay (about 3-4 pages back).

The latter was blacklisted because it was flagged stolen. Had nothing to do with TOS

Need to connect TMOHS1 to power source, then insert the battery. All lights will come on. When lights go out, remove the battery. The lights will come back on. You may need to disconnect power and repeat this procedure if the lights does not come on.

You can leave TMOHS1 in this state (no battery) as long as sufficient current is sent to the TMOHS1. Some USB ports many not be able to deliver the 2A at 5VDC. In this case, TMOHS1 will power down if there is no battery or the battery is insufficiently charged.

Note that the nominal power draw from TMOHS1 is around 2 watts.

T Mo never said device was stolen.

Other unit was fully functional for a few months. And this user was not a data hog.

You guys are right. It is blacklisted. I took it into a T-Mobile store today and they said it's blocked due to it being reported as "stolen / undeliverable". They told me that they can't remove the block. I thought I got a great deal buying it for only $45 brand new on eBay, but I guess now I know why the seller accepted my low offer. Now I have to go through the process of sticking this unit up his farking ass for selling me this POS.

What is the definition of UNDELIVERABLE? Buyer said unit was sealed. Two "blacklisted" devices in one month = a pattern. Time will tell if this is the beginning of a clamp down.

Many companies are trying to boost profit. Netflix, for example, knows that people have been sharing passwords for years. But no actions have been taken until now.
