The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Same phone number and password as for the TFB portal
Can't post a picture via iOS Safari. Message is basically "Sorry, something went wrong. We weren't able to process your request. Please try again later."
I'm pretty sure others who used EIN have had similar problems with the logins. Only those using SSN for business accounts have had success, but maybe something changed.

I could turn Wifi off on my Arcadyan KVD21.
As soon as I disable VPN, speeds are back to normal. Wondering if anyone knows what's going on here.
Thanks in advance.

Noticed something similar with the KVD21. No VPNs are used.
Connecting to it either with WiFi or with Cat6 ethernet cable directly in a Win11 PC gives a speedtest.net speed of around 500Kbps.
Similarly with WiFi in a Samsung S21 phone.
BUT
When connected thru the TTL modified Cudy X6 router that's hard wired to the KVD21 with a Cat6 ethernet cable, the WiFi speeds are over 400Mbps with the S21 and over 200Mbps with the Win11 PC.
So, it seems that T-Mo MAY have done something here with these $10 Sims used on other devices.
Without the TTL modified Cudy X6 router the $10 Sim is useless with the KVD21, and perhaps other similar devices.
I'll try to test again at the beginning of the billing cycle just in case usage is a factor here.
If anyone has noticed something similar lately with the KVD21, or any other device, and/or has any insights please chime in.

. Its old and the wifi has been limited. Others say its a better router compared to Cudy. Cudy X6 is currently $63 with coupon
I work from home and I need a reliable internet connection so not sure if relying on the $10 sim is a smart move.

I strongly recommend it, plus the ease of setting the TTL, it's the best KVD21-Router combo.
Had no trouble at all with the Cudy X6.
The recent $63 Amazon price is also great.

I got lucky with mine last year from eBay, in almost brand new condition for $25.
The only problem with it was the AC adapter was defective and the router would reboot.
Replaced it with an AC adapter from an older Netgear router with the same specs and no problem since.
Amazon also sells these adapters for several $. But it's extremely unlikely that you may also encounter a defective AC adapter.
I've experienced no de-prioritization as the other poster above described.
I also do work from home and I've found this $10 T-Mo internet Sim used with the KVD21 and Cudy X6 as reliable as the Fios I've had.
Tie Cudy X6 has WiFi 6 and it works great with a WiFi 6 device like the Samsung S21 phone with very fast speeds of around 300-400Mbps.
My Win11 PC does not have WiFi 6 and it's a bit slower in the Speedtest.net tests, around 200Mbps.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite tab that came with the $10 Sim doesn't seem to have WiFi 6.
I don't use VPN in the Win11 PC and so I have not experienced any VPN issues as the other poster above described.
BUT
I use VPN on the S21 phone and had no issues overall.
The main VPN issue experienced in the S21 is that the T-Mo KVD21 app does NOT work when the VPN is on, but works fine when the VPN is disabled.
This may be related to the VPN issue described by the other poster above.
The VPN I use is the VPN Unlimited by KeepSolid that I got maybe 10 or more years ago as a lifetime 5 device license for something like $25 or so.
It's been proven very reliable.
On the Win11 PC sometimes I use the free Proton VPN also with no issues along with the VPN Unlimited also with no issues, but usually no VPN on the PC.
On the S21 some apps do not like going thru a VPN, but that's app specific.
NOW, as far as the other issue I described in my other post above:
"Noticed something similar with the KVD21. No VPNs are used.

It looks as if it's probably related to exceeding the 10 Gb hotspot limit of the $10 Sim.
I went into my T-Mo account and it has the 10 Gb hotspot exceeded by almost 1GB this billing cycle.
I never use the 10Gb hotspot on the KVD21 but it looks like a couple of phones here probably accidentally connected to the KVD21 WiFi and used the 10Gb hotspot this month.
I will have to double check these very low KVD21 speeds at the beginning of the billing period in a couple of weeks, but I suspect that the problem I described in my post above may be related to accidentally exceeding the 10Gb hotspot limit.
I'll post it.
Hope all this helps.
Thanks in advance.
For instance the VPN I use, VPN Unlimited, has a server location in the Virginia area, and it's never overloaded.

I could turn Wifi off on my Arcadyan KVD21.
Then, all of a sudden, today the app was active.
It has a wealth of info in there about the KVD21.
I will not disable its WiFi as I like to have it as a backup just in case.
I strongly recommend it, plus the ease of setting the TTL, it's the best KVD21-Router combo.

Use the mentioned VPN services for security on travels mostly.
Also, since this was a new setup, I wanted to keep things simple in case of complications.
So far, it's all good with the KVD21/Cudy X6 combo!
