The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

How is the G4AR, is it worth upgrading from the Arcadyan if I can buy one for around $100?
Bus Tablet 10 GB HS TE
$10.00/mo.
Business Unlimited for Tablets Promo includes unlimited texting and 4G LTE data on our advanced network with no annual service contracts or data overages. You also get 10GB of 4G LTE hotspot data (with unlimited max 3G hotspot speeds thereafter), as well as texting and up to 5GB of 4G LTE data in Mexico and Canada. Plus, you get unlimited texting and 2G data roaming in 210+ countries and destinations and unlimited video streaming at DVD quality -- all at no extra charge.
I noticed it does not mention anything about 5G. Looks like it only gets 4G LTE only? I do see a 5G icon on my phone though.
If I login in to my account on the business portal, I have to go to the line and then select change rate plan, and then I see my current plan and I click view details
I get this
One thing I notice I am missing in this description is the mention of 5g data in the European countries mentioned in Clar's 2nd screenshot - not that I am travelling there anytime soon
It may be time to dump Comcast if this thing works well.
Currently testing. Set TTL to 68. TMO identifies it as a "5G Gateway TMO-G4AR 5G WHT KIT"
TMO account portal recognizes the IMEI as a "5G Gateway TMO-G4AR 5G WHT KIT"
Apparently the IMEI has been spoofed but I am not familiar with how that is or was done.
The router new is $400 on Amazon. I paid about $270 + $20 shipping.
On TMobile Compatibility checker
For the IMEI from the sticker:
Quectel 5G Module
IMEI: 868xxxxxxxxxxxx
This device is fully compatible with T-Mobile's network technology. Tell me more
This device is not blocked from use on our network.
For the IMEI that is spoofed:
Arcadyan T-Mobile 5G Gateway (G4AR)
IMEI: 868xxxxxxxxxxx
This device is fully compatible with T-Mobile's network technology. Tell me more
We can't confirm that this device is unblocked. Please contact the original wireless carrier for information about the device's status Or call us now to complete your order 855-806-2656.
On IMEIPro , both IMEIs show as clean
Its currently working great with the spoofed IMEI, I am not sure if its counting as hotspot yet.

If I were in your shoes, I'd (a) confirm TTL is set correctly and (b) change the IMEI back to original IMEI or to an old phone/device IMEI that I have in my possession. I'd do (b) just to avoid the unlikely chance that the original TMO-G4AR device connects to the T-Mobile network at the same time that your spoofed device connects to the same network with the same IMEI. Or just leave things as is if everything works.

However the device came spoofed so I haven't tried the native IMEI yet so hopefully it works smoothly when I change it back
Now, let's see if a hack exists to spoof the KVD21 IMEI, if one uses it with a TTL adjustable router like some Cudy routers.
Most likely such hack doesn't exist and never will.
IF T-Mo implements the rumored IMEI verification it'll be very easy to see that, for instance, a KVD21 or another device is used that doesn't belong there.
For the KVD21 or other such T-Mo Home Internet devices, I'll be very easy for T-Mo to see that these devices are no longer connected to the plan they were sold for originally.
The same probably goes for the hacked TMOHS1 device, and other similar devices, unless their IMEI can be spoofed to an A7 lite IMEI for instance.
This T-Mo IMEI rumor posted above is very likely valid, as it'll be very easy for T-Mo to implement, but it will probably lose a lot of these subscribers depending on the demands it requires.
If, for instance, it demands that the customer enroll and pay for its Home Internet service, no one will continue with T-Mo as its Home Internet service is not competitive with other hard wired internet services.
T-Mo will probably be forgiving if, say, the A7 tablet has been replaced with an A9 or other similar tablet.
The bright spot on this rumor is that the T-Mo Business plan division is involved here and not its Consumer division, and T-Mo may be far more careful in dealing and losing business customers vs its consumer ones, and it may just focus on its consumer division customers.

The Cudy P5 IMEI identifies as this https://www.amazon.com/Waveshare-...B0C2V53W3Z
For some reason I doubt that will be an issue even if T-Mobile does decide to enforce TAC as its simply an m.2 card and difficult to identify the specific device the sim is being used in

Fios is the same up/down of around 300/300Mbps on its least expensive plan.

One consideration in spoofing an IMEI would be if that device is a 4G or a 5G device.
For instance, the A7 lite tablet is a 4G device and the A9 one is 5G.
Using a 4G device IMEI on a 5G device to spoof may raise red flags at T-Mo.
So, its probably best to use a 5G device IMEI to spoof in a 5G device. Probably!
Or it may just connect at 4G speeds.
Since the Cudy P5 IMEI has been spoofed at least once, it should be easy to spoof it again with a SAFE IMEI, like that of an A9 5G tablet, so it would appropriately show up on T-Mo as a tablet plan, which is what this Business SIM is.
Just find out how to spoof its IMEI from the other post above, and get an A9 5G tablet online cheap, or from T-Mo if it has some special promos.
A while ago if you had an active phone line, you could get an A9 5G from Metro by T-Mo for free by adding a $20 tablet line for 30 days and then cancelling the line.
