Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I'm currently using the Cudy X6, but I'm planning to upgrade to the AX3000. Does the AX3000 also support TTL modification?

Need some advice here.... Bought Cudy P5 Gateway on Ebay sold open box, IMEI on sticker on device doesn't match the IMEI recognized in TMO. The IMEI in the gateway configuration shows the IMEI as the one TMobile sees in the status of the gateway. The sticker on the box has been removed that should display the IMEI.

TMO account portal recognizes the IMEI as a "5G Gateway TMO-G4AR 5G WHT KIT"

Apparently the IMEI has been spoofed but I am not familiar with how that is or was done.

The router new is $400 on Amazon. I paid about $270 + $20 shipping.

On TMobile Compatibility checker
For the IMEI from the sticker:
Quectel 5G Module
IMEI: 868xxxxxxxxxxxx
This device is fully compatible with T-Mobile's network technology. Tell me more
This device is not blocked from use on our network.

For the IMEI that is spoofed:
Arcadyan T-Mobile 5G Gateway (G4AR)
IMEI: 868xxxxxxxxxxx
This device is fully compatible with T-Mobile's network technology. Tell me more
We can't confirm that this device is unblocked. Please contact the original wireless carrier for information about the device's status Or call us now to complete your order 855-806-2656.

On IMEIPro , both IMEIs show as clean

Its currently working great with the spoofed IMEI, I am not sure if its counting as hotspot yet.
This external antenna should work well with the Cudy P5 and the T-Mo G4AR for additional signal range, strength, and speed:

You're probably talking about this one. WR3000.
AX3000 is not a router model but a Wi-Fi spec used in various router models by many manufacturers.

If you check the specs it states: TTL Extend/Spoof/Custom.
So, it looks Ok.

Went to a Tmobile store yesterday and gave the reps the SOC but was told that plan has been retired. Will try the 877 number and wish me luck.

Did the 877 number work?

The connection stability and performance of the T-Mo 5G internet would depend on the location, but it can be just as stable as Fios with similar speeds of around 300Mbps down but 50-100 up.
Fios is the same up/down of around 300/300Mbps on its least expensive plan.

As I said above:
The bright spot on this rumor is that the T-Mo Business plan division is involved here and not its Consumer division, and T-Mo may be far more careful in dealing and losing business customers vs its consumer ones, and it may just focus on its consumer division customers.

One consideration in spoofing an IMEI would be if that device is a 4G or a 5G device.
For instance, the A7 lite tablet is a 4G device and the A9 one is 5G.
Using a 4G device IMEI on a 5G device to spoof may raise red flags at T-Mo.
So, its probably best to use a 5G device IMEI to spoof in a 5G device. Probably!
Or it may just connect at 4G speeds.

Since the Cudy P5 IMEI has been spoofed at least once, it should be easy to spoof it again with a SAFE IMEI, like that of an A9 5G tablet, so it would appropriately show up on T-Mo as a tablet plan, which is what this Business SIM is.

Just find out how to spoof its IMEI from the other post above, and get an A9 5G tablet online cheap, or from T-Mo if it has some special promos.
A while ago if you had an active phone line, you could get an A9 5G from Metro by T-Mo for free by adding a $20 tablet line for 30 days and then cancelling the line.
Can you share the link of that deal please?

I am now getting ready to move from Xfinity to T-Mobile as my full time internet. What might be the best setup to go with? Tmobile modem + Cudy with TTL and IMEI updated?

It looks as if you are talking about the A9 5G tablet link:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...a9-plus-5g

But, to get that one must already have a Metro line.

The link about spoofing the IMEI of the Cudy P5 is in this post:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=175456663&postcount=5619

I don't have the Cudy P5 but the posts here in the last couple of pages have more info.

I use the KVD21 with the Cudy X6 with the modified TTL, and also the R7000 Netgear Nighthawk with the FreshTomato hack described here:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=162655288&postcount=5056

and here:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=162620419&postcount=5052

For more on these just search this thread for X6 and for R7000

The Cudy X6 works fine on Wi-Fi connecting to the internet, but when ethernet hardwired to a PC its speeds after a couple of days of usage drop to unusable levels and it must be reset, turn off and on, to recover.
Tested this on a couple of X6s and both have this problem so it seems to be a defect.
It may be a buffer issue?
Hopefully other Cudy routers do not have this issue.

The R7000 with the Fresh Tomato hack doesn't have that problem.

Question, I was following some config stuff on the Cudy P5 from Reddit

My question is about hiding hotspot and TTL
I was following instructions on a Reddit post however the poster has TMO home internet service so likely doesnt need to modify TTL and one of his instructions is as follows:

Small update to my notes above. Using the above configurations had a known issue/side effect of external IPv6 not working properly. You would only ever show as having an IPv4 address. I've found a fix for this by changing the following:

Log into the Cudy P5 admin panel.

Click Advanced Settings.

Click TTL.

For Override TTL, select Custom.

For IPv4 TTL enter 64.

For IPv6 HL enter 255.

Click Save & Apply.
Are these TTLs good for our situation or should they be different? Does TTL matter for IPv6?

Since 66 works for the Cudy X6 it'll probably work for the P5, for IPv4.
64, 66, and 68 are the most used in this thread.
Try 66 first and at the same time log in to your T-Mo account and follow the Hotspot data usage. If it shows zero or no change after a couple of days, then that should be the correct one.

No idea about IPv6 and TTL.

Spoofing the P5 IMEI with an A9 tablet's IMEI is the safest for this T-Mobile tablet line product, especially if T-Mobile will start identifying devices on its lines in the next month or two.

I agree my IMEI is not the safest but TMO can even identify devices correctly at the moment. My consumer portal shows I have an iPhone 13 ( I dont) and my business portal correct shows my Samsung phone but the sim has been in the router for a day and it still has not updated. I am curious what it will show for the Quentcel card. I should have gotten the tablet that came with this deal when it first came out but I dont own any tablets and I guess its not advised to use an IMEI generator or steal one off eBay

This morning I'm getting slow speeds. I wonder if I hit my hotspot cap. When I login to portal I just see Internet access. No separate breakdown for hotspot.
Btw, is search broken for any one else on here?

Also A9s are expensive to buy just for spoofing
