The Series S with Game pass is the best deal in gaming, period.

Good lord. Those exclusive items are going for $40-$80 on eBay, and you could easily sell the controller for $40-$45. That'd reasonably bring the price down to about $200, which is nuts for the kind of emulation/GamePass/Plex machine this is. Anyone thinking of shelling out for an Nvidia Shield right now should consider this deal.

I have both and this is a fantastic deal. The only frustrating thing about this console is the disk space. This has just about enough room for warzone/Cold War/ vanguard and that's it. 4K gaming is not really a thing yet, high end pc's struggle to pump out higher frame rates at 4K, I honestly don't even notice a difference between this and my series x. We're still in a performance 1440p era. Extreme value here for $300.

The reason you haven't notice a difference in both series models yet is because developers have not full utilized X yet.

If I wasn't saving for a steam deck, I'd be all over this. Really looking forward to seeing what these go for on BF.
The same price at Black Friday how can they go any lower.

Xbox Series S was selling for $250 before so a $200 Black Friday deal is possible.

Xbox Series S will beat a $300 gaming PC. But PC games are generally cheaper than console games and PC does not require a subscription for online multiplayer.
No you can do more with a PC

This is far from the truth. They are actually hard to find. Walmart is known to sit on supply for months before releasing them. I live in tucso. Arizona and the series x has been out of stock here and in phoenix almost immediately
I worked for Walmart for years and I've have never seen any store hold on to inventory. So please stop with the wrong information. This company likes to make money.

Idk why that person mentioned kids. Age doesn't matter between any console. However, there are big differences between this one and the Xbox Series X. The X can do native 4K at up to 120 frames per second (fps). This can only do (sometimes) upscaled 4K, but a lot of stuff is still only up to 1440p, and most games, like Guardians of the Galaxy, still only hit 30fps on this. Some games will hit 60fps, but I anticipate fewer and fewer games will hit that mark, since they're getting more demanding.

The X has almost twice the storage, and the rest of the specs are at least twice as high as this. This isn't just a disc-free version, it's significantly weaker than the Series X. Unlike the digital PS5, which IS just a disc-free version. This is just barely a step up from the last generation.
It's significantly cheaper also. I've seen it go as low as $240. That's a good bit lower than the $500 for the X. The only people that seem concerned with the Series S specs are X owners. People buying the Series S are not the same consumer worried about every spec. At these prices the system is a steal.

A $300 PC can also do more than a $300 printer or a phone, but it cannot BE a better printer or phone compared to those dedicated hardware products. Your argument is irrelevant in this thread.

Series S is a much better XBOX than a $300 PC. Do you go into PS4 threads and say this same nonsense? If people need a PC they will get a PC. If they want a decent XBOX game experience the choice comes down (at this price point) to this or a used Xbox One X.

Is there a difference, one is digital and the other has disks, X vs S. Or is there something special for X that's more kids friendly? I also got X Box Ultimate Pass, but haven't used it.. haven't activated yet, it's good for entire year or two.. and get that all the time, The downside is I only got Wii 2nd gen lol
X has more power and can play at greater resolutions. X also has a disc drive which means you can get cheap games at gamestop (including many 360 games) and put them into the X. The X will then download a playable version of the 360 game and you'll be good to go. The S is useful if you only want to play digital games or subscribe to gamepass (digital downloads).
