2 24v makes it 48v. The 48v mower comes with 2 24v batteries actually plus one extra 24v battery for free which is useless to the mower unless you have one more battery to pair with

Thanks. But that seems strange. I have a Greenworks Twin Force 40v mower which accepts two 40v batteries, but that doesn't make it an 80v mower.
I have the same mower bought from that recent deal and had it pushed through its paces after months of rain and tall grass. The 48v didn't let me finish the job but the mower had little issues cutting when it did. So now I'm in the hunt for more batteries so might as well get a new trimmer.
