I don't understand; you are getting this for redundant storage? It's easy enough to back up your iPhone on your computer, and then you could back up to various external drives, as well as the internal drive of your computer, and $29 for 256gb of storage isn't inexpensive. You can very easily for $40 more get eight times that amount of storage. I can see very specific use cases, like if someone doesn't have a computer, where this may come in handy to back up photos. But otherwise having to deal with the requisite software of this thing and the price of the storage itself make the product seem like not the best choice in 2022. Maybe I'm missing something though...

Same. Anyone know if u can use this for multiple apple devices? Or is it limited
To one only?
My 2 cents . You can use it for multiple devices . I have a 64gb version of this and have used it for me and wifey .You need the Sandisk app which automatically restores the data or you have an option to c/p .

Why don't you just buy a lightning to USB dongle (3rd party one works great)? Then you can enjoy whatever flash drive you like with Files App.

Great. Was searching for such a solution after Google Photos starting charging $/storage. if the product works as advertised, I can often copy the photos from my family device and move them to PC in one shot...

Worst case will return to WD as they have good return policy.

If you can use the word "easy" to describe how to back up iPhone photos to your computer, I'm happy for you. It's easy for my wife too, pain in the ass for me tho with frequent disconnects. Tried switching USB cables, ports, computers, settings, and it's all same same. If $29 can resolve my frustration I'll happily pay for it. I've also tried cloud based solution (not iCloud) but they compress the images.

Android was easy tho

Probably good for travel when you might not have a computer to back up to or cloud storage for video. I assume that's the best use case for this. Not perfect, but better than just the original copy on your phone. Plus you could just use this as a usb drive.

Add code 10OFF for an additional 10% savings. Making the total an even better deal at $28.38. Props out to the OP and everyone getting in on the deal!
