No way. The opposite would be true. Remember, RGB always makes things run faster or cooler. After all, isn't that why everything's RGB?

Yes I just purchased and installed this cooler. You have to get the separate mounting bracket as it didnt come with the LG1700. The link for the bundle is in the product page.
How is the cooling? I am still comparing between air cooler and liquid cooler. Running a 12700k
