35L is on sale on amazon for same price as adorama, actually being sold on amazon by adorama. Unfortunately the 25L sale price is only on adorama, costs $100 on amazon.
This is a slick price, for both but the 25L is really smoking
I'm currently daily driving a Lowpro Urbex BP 20L.
The one issue I've come across is how deep the laptop pocket is. 15" laptop is a squeeze and it would be nice to have a touch more room to slide my 14" laptop AND my notebook in that pocket.
Can anyone comment on the laptop sleeve size on this 25L?

From Amazon Q&A for the 25L:
Q:Will this hold a 17inch rugged Laptop??
A: Yes, dimensions are 15.7 x 6.7 x 21.2 inches; It has a dedicated, protective laptop and tablet pocket; Not sure what all you need to carry in it; if you need to carry a fair amount of other items like books, notebooks, etc. you may want to go the 35 liter MPB35 with dimensions of 14.9 x 7.8 x 24.4 inches for an additional $40; lifetime warranty makes this a one time expense and these Pelican Weatherproof Backpacks are superior quality and protection.
Q: What are the actual dimensions of the laptop compartment? My laptop is 11 x 2 x 15.75 in in sleeve and 14.17 x 10.55 x 0.62 in alone.
A: I carry a Lenovo T450 laptop. 13.35" x 9.15" x 0.83" It fits perfectly. I love this backpack. I have been in heavy rain conditions and no water issues whatsoever
Yeah I was looking at this specifically for commuting with my laptop, but it seems pretty clear that this is smaller than I'd want. Also it seems there's a severe lack of storage pockets and organizer stuff inside. Still looks very nice, but once I get to the 35L price there are a lot of options.
I looked at the 35L on Amazon. For the 35L it states: Yes, the dimensions are within the carry-on requirements of all airlines.
So definitely the 25L will be an acceptable carry-on, too.
Carry-on and personal items are different though. Sometimes they make you check carry-on items at the gate on crowded flights, but personal items are always allowed in. Unfortunatley most airlines don't define personal item sizes. Personal items do have to fit under the seat however. That said I went with the 25 as a personal item, the 35 looked too large to be a "small backpack." You're probably okay with the 35L but I wouldn't want to risk having to put my laptop and electronics under the plane for the flight.
If I was taking a backpack as a carry-on (might be checked at the gate or goes in overhead) I'd get something larger than both of these..
For those looking at this 25l is very small, I'd caution against it for your use case... Even day packs I use for hiking have two water bottle holders I can't tell if this even has one.
You won't fit a towel, extra pair of shoes, etc in there without filling the whole thing up pretty much
Both the 25L and 35L have water bottle holders on the sides, you can see the grey elastic that allows it to expand out.
But its definitely good to have an idea of the size. This video[youtube.com] may help to give others an idea about how much they could fit in there.

Cool I couldn't tell if that flap was a holder or not, that does help... but yeah even in that video a 18oz bottle looked huge compared to the backpack lol.
Even with the laptop the zipper barely closed, I have a few backpacks even the osprey 35 I use daily gets pretty full with a pair of shoes, notepad, chromebook + cords, wallet, phone, battery pack, keys etc I can't imagine how you could use this unless it was more for like a tablet and some essentials on a flight etc.

Tell her she'll need you to buy a 65L or a little more, depending on how much she's willing to dismember you (and/or multiple trips from the house.
get rid of the wife
Wrong! Slickdeals >Wife!
But someday you may have to stuff the wife in the backpack. Win win for you. Sorry that was a bit extreme, i just couldn't help myself lol
