Absolutely. Just like most any folding pocket knife, the screw can be tightened on the pivot to keep the blade from opening so easily. I believe this is a torx t7 bit on this little knife. That being said, I have had one for years and it has never opened in my pocket. Fantastic handy little knife and yes it is extremely sharp.

Had this on my keychain for years, it's always there for me whenever another knife is not within reach and I need to open a package and also whenever I'm out and need to open a beer. Can't go wrong!

It's never opened in my pocket.

I currently have 2 of these and like them for small tasks. And for the price, I really won't complain that I won't carry one in my pocket for fear of it opening when I grab it- these are super sharp Smilie

Super sharp, it's able to slice computer paper cleanly. Not sure about news/phonebook paper because I think those are extinct now.

Also mine hasn't accidentally opened yet in my pocket. A few people mentioned that in the last deal.

Glad to hear this hasn't been an issue for you and with the new one I have coming, may finally carry one of this kind in my pocket. I haven't had that happen yet but that's only because I've noticed how easy they are to open and Murphy's Law and all that if I ever should put one in my pocket laugh out loud

Mine opens up in my pocket, super scary, super weird, super dumb. I keep it in a backpack now but I would not recommend this product. Would recommend Gerber Curve over this in a heartbeat, about the same size plus more tools and it's never opened up accidentally.
