1. Go to ridgid power tools registration. https://register.ridgid
2. Enter model number off the BOX -it may be different than the one on the tool.
3. Enter serial number of tool.
4. Enter purchase date and select other when asked where it was purchased from.
5. Select direct tools outlet from the list.
6. Review and submit.
7. Upload copy of order confirmation from email and save to the tool. I usually print to PDF.
This is the most important part to get quick approvals
8. Go to your dashboard.
9. Click on the "action required" button on the tool. It has a red box around it.
9. Click the hyperlink on the word "here" where it says " Complete this form here" to have your request reviewed within a week.
10. Add previously uploaded receipt again by clicking choose existing one.
11. Click send.
They will review and approve LSA status.
If you get this, you should thinking about adding on the reconditioned Ridgid 18V torch light for $6.99 -- not eligible for the LSA, but at that price and no additional shipping it's a steal.

PRO-TIP - using a regular 2.0 AH battery is fine for small work/pruning, but if you are going to use this to take down anything with heft, you will need a 6.0 AH battery. I had a large tree branch come down in my yard and it burned through two, 2.0 batteries in a few minutes cutting it down.

I used the exact saw from DTO going through 6" roots 36" deep in a hole when I was building my fence and it didn't even wince.
Being able to dog the shit out of your tools when needed knowing you can have it repaired/replaced under LSA is the entire point of Ridgid imo.

Quick question for u all, I know u may have many tools, do u guys stay with one brand or have many different brands of power tools and why?I see deals for other brand tools but don't want to buy another battery/charger for them.
For Ridgid its mostly because of the LSA. While I never had to use it, its nice to know if something happens the tool / batteries are covered.
