Went 40v, I'd say go 40v or higher going forward. Night and day difference.

You can get third party on Amazon or eBay, but...

If you really want to save $ you can also buy a roll of spool and wind them yourself w/ your empty spools (which is what I do). Literally pennies per spool. Just be sure to get the right size (it's .65), and make sure it's hex line and not just regular.

Here's what I use. I've had this for two years and probably haven't used 10% of it.

Did the packaging look damaged? Mine came with the battery and charger but the shipping box looked like it was thrown, kicked, jumped on, and abused in every possible way. The original tape on mine was split and looked (poorly) redone. If yours was packed as badly maybe the battery is sitting on a FedEx floor. I'd contact the seller.

Box was perfect and tape intact. Even the little spools made it. Everything but the battery and charger, I've messaged the seller but no response yet.

Edit: just got a response, worx said they'll ship a charger and battery and provide tracking when it's sent.

I ordered higher version with 4.0 Amp battery but received lesser version with 2.0 Amp battery. Contacted seller via eBay order.
Any advise please ?

Mine came is a plain brown box with little to no padding on the inside. Fortunately nothing was damaged during shipping. It looks brand new. But the tape on the ends of the box had ripped and I'm guessing the spools fell out so I sent a message to Worx to send me the 3 spools that are supposed to come with it.

I also ordered the $35 version and was sent the cheaper version. The units are different model numbers as well, I wonder if the units themselves have any difference or if it's just the 2.0ah vs the 4.0ah battery?

My trimmer's shaft (the aluminum part) only extends 3 inches from its retracted state (Figure F in the manual). The manual and online pictures show that it should extend far more than that. Other brands I've used (Ryobi, SB&D Craftsman, etc) extend well over 1 foot.

FYI, my WG170.3 (the 4Ah kit) has the WA3578 4Ah battery (with minor white marks that scrubs off, possibly from factory repackaging/shipping, no sign of scratches or dirt from use) and a clean WA3881 charger in a smaller brown box. The 2 extra spools and manual are in a ziplock bag, which along with safety guard and support wheels are in a larger taped bag. Trimmer looks unused and no scuff mark on rubber handle (where any light use would show) or grass debris.

My cheap Hydroshot (1x20V, non-brushless) seem to be slightly stronger with the big battery (the main reason I bought this kit, as I have Ryobi 18V timmer already) than the original compact 2Ah.
