There is not a better gaming value anywhere. Even with MSRP prices and borrowed components, I can't build a PC that comes close to touching this for $500.
I've never needed to use an extended warranty on a console — ever — but I'd still pay $20 more just to know Costco has my back.
Costco also doesn't include game consoles in its 90-day return policy on electronics. You can return a console any time. They're classified as toys in their system. I returned a Switch to them more than 2 years after I bought it because of joy-con drift and got a full refund.
You have to keep every single thing that came with it though. Otherwise they'll deny the refund. So I even had to return a screen protector that came with the Switch.
$10 more at Walmart with Fortnite and Rocket League bundle. Microsoft Xbox Series S – Fortnite & Rocket League Bundle https://www.walmart.com/ip/849406731
Watch out for that terrible return and replacement policy. Surprised they aren't out of business yet.
shame to hear that as they used to be the best in that regard. I read they were bought by a Chinese company.
Back in the day they had such good customer service. I got a TV from them that had a few dead pixels, which typically isn't enough to warrant a return. Not only did they take the return but refunded me fully (no restocking or shipping fee etc) - and it was delivered and picked up by an actual trucking company (it was a big TV) so they definitely lost money on it.
Anyways sorry for the off-topic story. Seems like a good deal. I used newegg a lot back in the day also because they didn't charge tax in NY. Saved a decent amount when making large purchases.

You're not wrong about the console itself, but Newegg is a big no for me.
The Xbox Series S is great. I just got rid of mine to "upgrade" to the Series X and if I had it to do all over again I probably wouldn't have upgraded. And I even have a 4K TV @ 120Hz.
AVOID Newegg though.

Agreed! They lost my return and kept that money plus charged me for the replacement modem and router that were damaged in shipping. I had to contact an executive via Twitter in order to get any action. She got people looking into it and found that they did have the return, but it was in the wrong department. It took over 6 months to get this money back.

PCs are not value gaming either way as they do far more than play games.

You're leaving opportunity on the table. They know they are on everyone's s-list right now. They are going to do their best to win customers back, so you better believe they're leaving no room for complaints. I ordered ram from them two weeks ago and with free shipping it showed up the next day.
Meanwhile, Amazon thinks they can rest easy knowing people love them. They took 1.5 weeks to ship me a motherboard they ship & sell, and I'm a prime member.
