MSRP for the new, black Series S with 1TB storage (vs 512GB in the white Series S) is $350. I agree $250 is high, but I bet we see $200 for a clearance price, not $179.

This was $249 with a free extra controller in the past. I would hold out for a better deal.

This was $200 in the past. Undoubtedly will be much cheaper than $250 by Black Friday; buy now only if you really, really want one now.

You and me both. At the time, the Series S price had been low during the Christmas season and it looked like it might go lower. Now it's looking like the price is actually moving up, not down, with the announcement of the Series S Black.

What a terrible deal. I got it for $200 with a free controller. Jump in my time machine instead of his. October 6, 2022. That did include the 5% redcard discount though.

Yes, but the graphics will be seriously nerfed and it will only run at 1080p on Series S. You are better off saving up for a PS5/Xbox Series X. I bought a Series S just for Street Fighter 6 but now I seriously regret it. The SF6 texture quality on the last-gen PS4 is better than it is on Series S. The Series S doesn't even feature the muscle tech which is featured on the last-gen PS4. It's complete B.S. that Street Fighter 6 was not released on Xbox One/X when the PS4 runs it better than the Series S does. The game is just a blurry mess on Series S. I expect future next gen games to have the same issue on this seriously underpowered hardware.

Will run at 1440. Announced today I guess. Not coming to ps5 or I'd wait.
