I've bought a lot of stuff from DTO last year to build up my workshop as cheap as possible as a newbie woodworker. My advice now after a year of experience is stay away from their reconditioned tools, and think twice or 10x about their factory refurbished tools that you may need accuracy from.
Examples:
I bought a factory blem Ridgid table saw with folding stand for $30 less than Home Depot (when on sale), but it sucks! The folding stand part is awesome, but everything else is bad. Should have spent the extra $30 so I could exchange it locally. There's a good video on YouTube where some guy goes through all the adjustments and I had all the same problems he had. The biggest glaring problem is there isn't enough adjustment to align the riving knife with the blade.
Bought a reconditioned Ryobi rotary hammer drill, and the chuck is wobbly and the hammering part is so weak because it's worn out.
Bought a reconditioned Ryobi hammer drill and again the chuck is wobbly. Went to drill my first hole and found out the clutch was completely toast! A drill that couldn't drill even a single hole!
Bought a reconditioned Ryobi orbital sander and it orbits, but sometimes it spins and sometimes it doesn't spin.
Bought a factory blem Ridgid planer and it doesn't plane evenly. Everything needs adjustment and it takes a lot of time.
Bought a factory blem Ryobi brushless circular saw and can't get it completely zeroed. With a 4ah battery, it cannot make it through the length of a plywood or MDF 3/4" sheet without stopping. This is with using a Diablo blade.
