https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m...uI&t=1117s for a legit review on the Ultra vs. the Player Plus. I've read through that some folks like to replace the humbucker in the Player Plus but some outright prefer the Player Plus. At this price, it's a serious consideration.

I wish they would bring the cutaway heel from the ultra down to these other upper end models.

This is an okay deal on a Mexican Player Strat, but this is not the new Player Plus with noiseless pickups. It does have a Plus (figured) top but it's not a Player Plus.

This isn't a higher end model--it's the regular Player model. And they had the cutaway heel on the Mexican Deluxe range which were just replaced by the Player Plus line--they might still have some online and in stores.

Here to also say that the title needs correction--this isn't the higher end Player Plus line but a regular Player HSS Star with a "plus" top.

This is not the Player Plus model. It's the Player model with a Plus Top (different look on the front). Otherwise, specs look identical to regular Mexican Player series. Decent deal regardless.

These are the "Plus Top" models. Yeah kinda confusing.

Player Plus Deluxe = noiseless models.

Player HSS Plus Top = flamed maple bursts.

This is original Player model from 2019 with a fancy (Plus) top.

That $900+ list price is just crazy, I remember seeing these Player MIM Strats selling for $500.

MIM is not necessarily a bad thing, they've been making quality products at that factory. What concerns me is new list price - almost $1,000 for a Mexican instrument. For this kind of money I'd rather take a pre-owned American Strat.
