I bought two of these (also reconditioned) from DirectTools and they were both non-working. They looked like they were beat to shit and had been returned but never fixed. It was a total waste of time and effort for me.

Not sure if they have improved upon their "quality control", but I'm not going to waste my time on them.

I ordered a reconditioned electric pressure washer from DTO and it was in near new condition. Also a couple of months back when they were giving away those electrostatic sprayers, one came damaged. I emailed them and sent them pics. They shipped out a new one and I didn't have to return the broken one.

I've read many posts about bad service and problems with their products, but my experience has been good.

I have a little smaller brushed version and I was pleasantly surprised how powerful it was. I think it's 100mph 280 cfm. Sure it's not gonna blow away a big pile of waterlogged leaves. I'd have to think this one should be a little better. Looks like brand new this is $139 tool only on home depot.

Thanks for your input here, I was about to buy one of these. Your not the first person here to comment on the poor quality of the "refurbished items" at DTO.

That's pretty ballsy to call even an electric leaf blower "WHISPER".

I can't believe they still have any of those electrostatic sprayers left. They've been giving them away for free for what seems like an eternity now. (PS: They are complete garbage.)

I may be wrong here, but this is a One+ HP 4Ah battery, correct? Same battery that was recently part of a 2 for $100 (new) deal at Home Depot? DTO has these as factory blemished for $109 (yeah, rip off, but a data point) [directtoolsoutlet.com]

If the value of the battery is $30, the charger $10, that makes the tool $20? Seems like a good deal even if rolling the dice on tool quality vs. hassle to return/replace it...again, unless I am missing something (i.e. DTO sends "dead" factory reconditioned batteries or something like that). Yes, DTO has $10 shipping, but still...

Great price, I paid $75 in January for this during a "sale". Works great, battery is strong, no issues for me.

I bought a refurbished pressure and it was bad. It was a returned unit from Home Depot that someone shady bought and stole parts then returned it. DTO just shipped it to me without even checking for contents. Ended up having to ship it back to them. Wasted time and effort. I guess they don't care about eating the shipping fees both way

Against my better judgement, I went ahead and ordered it. I got the 18V One+HP string trimmer a few days ago from the store which is about an hour away and when I got home there were some springs rattling around in the head. I took it apart and couldn't see any obvious place they should have went, so I just took them out and put them on my work bench. The trimmer works fine, although it was dirty as hell when I got it, they could have at least brushed off the grass with something. The blower I don't expect much more, but for $65 shipped, I figure the battery alone is worth about half that
