Good deal on a recently released Gen 4 v1.4 NVMe drive. I just price matched it to NewEgg to get the $20 Visa card as well. They said they wouldn't price match it at first and tried to offer it for $220, but finally relented and said I'd receive a $40 refund after it ships if I gave them the order #, which I did. I know I'm rolling the dice, but getting it for $180 is worth the risk. I have the chat transcript saved in case they try to pull a NewEgg on me.

Gen 4 nvme, rated for 6600/5000 R/W. Not the cheapest compatible ps5 drive, but speeds are good.

I was waiting for the Samsung 980 Pro to get that cheap, but this one seems to be a good deal. 400mb less in reading speed won't make a big difference anyway. I am in for one

Waiting for more sales on higher data drives... Like 4TB or something. Fortunately, I can make do for now with external drives and recording my gameplay to them... But not all games play well with old HDD speeds or external speeds

Damn, I just got this for $239 from Crucial, and that's a good $50 cheaper than anywhere else had it. Now you can get it for $200???

If you're looking at raw specs, it looks like it's close. I actually read a few reviews on this drive and it was middle of the pack at best in most of the real world benchmarking. The WD850 and Samsung 980 Pro were the two standouts, but they're considerably more expensive than this one. It's still faster than any Gen3 drive, and since I ordered it to replace an MX300 SATA drive the somewhat lower performance was less of an issue for me.

In the last 2-3 days. There's an inland one for 190. A pny one for 195, though reliability can be questionable for that one.

Inland was QLC, and the PNY is 3000 speeds so not PS5 rated.

I personally have a Corsair MP600 2TB drive in my PS5 and it is running just fine. Bought it from BB on Black Friday for $220 with heatsink.

If you are going to put this into a PS5, you are going to need a heatsink which is going to cost another $20+ depending on what you get.
