13.3" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), multitouch-enabled, IPS, edge-to-edge glass, micro-edge, BrightView, Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™, 1000 nits, 72% NTSC, HP Sure View integrated privacy screen
You lose most brightness and visibility at ANY angle off-center. The privacy screen is hardware-based and cannot be disabled even though there is button that supposedly turns it off (which has almost no effect).
Only valid use cases are if you need a privacy filter or using this to drive an external display.
Something new to complain about… 🙄
Too little nits? Right to jail.
Too many nits? Believe it or not, jail right away.
2nd fan damn noise. If you keep performance mode it's don't stop. Continuous noise
If you really want to buy it's ok. But try to have an external keyboard and mouse setup to overcome the 1st problem I said above

What do you all think?
This deal seemed like a winner until I read some of the feedback on the SureView. I am not using this as a work laptop so it's not going to do me much good if my wife and I can't look at the screen together comfortably while watching a movie, etc.
As an FYI, April 13 Costco is having an Envy 13.3" with the i7 16/512GB for $950. I am unsure if the upgraded specs are worth the $350 (~60%) increase in price since I'm not doing much gaming or video encoding on this... Thoughts on that alternative?

Also should have said "when my wife and I are sitting next to one another watching a movie on an airplane. "
