Don't get the flip, fancy phone, horrible battery life. Fanciness wears off, but day to day battery usage is what matters at the end. Need to charge at least 3 times a day with regular usage

I wish I hadn't bought into the iPhone hype. Lesson learnt. Now I have to wait a year and switch back. Apart from the battery if anyone is considering switching I would recommend you use one for a week.

Plus aren't the Costco deals only for postpaid?
Isn't Google fi postpaid? They just don't do a hard pull like the others

I guess if you're not ok with being on fi for four months then yeah this deal wouldn't be for you.

But when you say "a new S22 will be selling at $350-400 range" is that other deals or the regular price?
Because googling S21 retail prices not seeing any significant drop in price. At least not $500 off.
This is just one example - https://slickdeals.net/f/15599584-samsung-galaxy-s21-fe-5g-128gb-unlocked-with-t-mobile-activation-for-new-user-399-99. T-Mo unlocks after 40-days of use.

There may be carrier selections, trade-ins needed in some cases. When BestBuy had a generous trade-in offer a couple of months back, many took advantage of it. You may not find those deals by searching in Google but I suggest looking at past deals here in SD to get a general idea.

Before S22 was released, Google Fi themselves had S21 for $400 which was front page deal and it went down to $300 in a couple of weeks.

Adding a line is worse than porting in, in my experience
Not my experience. Adding a line at Costco last time for me took like 5 min. Done.

Yeah, you probably aren't on kickstarter paying $25/mo for 2 lines of unlimited, scared to have them mess that up by fiddling with my account

Is it? Was never interested in fi before this deal. But at least the cheapest plan is similar to prepaid prices, so it doesn't really matter. Whereas Costco being with T-Mobile postpaid means you're dealing with more expensive plans.

Ya seems like it. You have to factor in service charges for 4 months as well. But yeah I feel like this is the best deal since launch of s22 for basic model
Best deals were from Samsung initially. Those required trade-in devices but also stacked tablets, Buds, watches, site credits, google Play credits etc. that could all be flipped. In the end, Samsung actually paid many of us to buy the s22. LOL.

I pay $50/mo for 9 lines on T-Mobile One. You just need to know the rules of the game before making account changes. T-Mobile has a lot of them for sure.

I usually go on Reddit and ask the T-Mobile experts to review my planned changes before doing them. Many of them are more knowledgeable than even the current T-Force crew.

Not necessarily true. Read the Costco deals before you post this kind of inaccurate stuff.

Bad part is, if they do make a mistake I will never get my price back.. I'm not paying 25 a line, it's 25 total.

Actually it seems to be a hybrid of prepaid and postpaid

From the fi help page:

"Flexible plan

You prepay (charged at the beginning of your billing cycle) a monthly fee for unlimited calls and texts, based on the number of people in your plan.

You will post-pay (charged at the end of your billing cycle) any additional charges such as data usage (data is free after 6 GB with Bill Protection for individual plans), international usage, returning to full speed data, and prorated costs for new members.

Simply Unlimited and Unlimited Plus plans

Based on the number of people in your plan, you prepay a monthly fee for unlimited calls, texts, and data charged at the start of your bill cycle.

Charged at the end of your bill cycle, you postpay extra charges, like for:

Calls abroad
Return to full speed data
International calls from the US
(If you recently switched) Data use charges from the Flexible plan
Prorated costs for new members"

Not necessarily true. T-Force is usually very good about correcting any errors. At least they have been in the past. I have not had to contact them recently for any issues thankfully. I am sure there are exceptions.

I would have never reached 9 lines for $50 total if I had not made changes to my account over the years when deals surfaced. But everyone has their own risk tolerance.
