Don't get the flip, fancy phone, horrible battery life. Fanciness wears off, but day to day battery usage is what matters at the end. Need to charge at least 3 times a day with regular usage

I wish I hadn't bought into the iPhone hype. Lesson learnt. Now I have to wait a year and switch back. Apart from the battery if anyone is considering switching I would recommend you use one for a week.

Thanks for taking one for the team and being the early adopter / beta tester.

Saved me and probably some others the trouble. Highly appreciated 👍

What is TMobile one? How much data do you get?
Grandfathered plan. No longer available. Data is unlimited, all lines.

What hype in particular?
You haven't heard? Jobs made a big announcement.
It's kinda like an iPod, but with cellular.

I'm sceptical.

WRONG. You can remove it and stick it in a drawer. Use the new phone with any other sim. Just do not put that FI Sim in another phone.
Can we do this? I just asked a similar question over on the Pixel 5a thread - so as long as the FI SIM isn't used on a different device we are free to use the new device with any SIM and don't risk losing the discount? Thanks!

Will it be worth making a trade in with the 21 ultra for the 22 ultra?
Not worth it. Sell it on eBay/Swappa for $600+ or even $700 if it's in great/good condition

Get real. Samsung wants to be Apple. That is why now there are more similarities than differences these days in their phones, especially the flagships.

I am not a fanboy of either. Why? they are basically similar phones. I have used both the iPhone 13 and s22. My wife likes the s22, so I now use the 13. For 99% of typical use, they are basically the same phone functionally and even in size.

These days the fanboy arguments are just dumb. There are advantages to ios and advantages to Android. And the hardware is more alike than different. So pick one, enjoy it, and move on. It's not that much different these days anyway, other than iPhones hold their value better.

When you factor in

$325 phone + tax
$5 number for port-in
$25 x4 ($20 plan + taxes/fees) = $100

$430 and 4 months to get this phone

Not worth it to me personally
That's STILL 50% off with no trade in requirements...

I think the issue is more with Google Fi. They don't have a stellar reputation if something goes awry in your deal or account with them. In fact, their customer service is horrendous.

Fair enough. Yeah these promos can be a challenge because once the slightest thing goes wrong you're SOL.

Well yes, for $600 it obviously is the 128gb version. All Costco's will carry black, some may get a few in white too based on past experience. Costco rarely stocks any other colors than those.
Yes you can correctly guess the capacity based on the sale price but what I'm pointing out is that they don't stock the 256GB at all. Even if you want to pay $50 more for the 256GB version, you can't. I was planning at one point to jump ship and buy it from Costco, because my Google Fi order kept being delayed. But all these small things added up, and I decided to stick it out now.

I don't understand the Google Fi plans... when I look at the plans, I see that there is one for $20/month with 35gb data till it slows down. When I try to go through with this deal (or any phone offered through Google Fi), this option shows up as $50/month. I would join Fi for $20/month plan, but certainly not $50/month.
I see other posts here saying it would be $20/month for the 120 days. How do I choose this plan or get it to show up as an option for me?!

You gotta pick the flexible plan that charges $10 per GB you use
