Can I port in Google voice number to be qualified for new number? Does it has to be unlocked 1st? Thank you
My Google Voice passed their port-in check during the checkout, I unlocked it first.

Mine is about $4. I read switching your address to Idaho would give you the lowest but no one could comment if Google would ever crack down on this.

I just received my phone but also just auto pre-payed for a new month of metro service. Can I use this phone on Metro for a few weeks before switching to Fi and still receive the discount? I would switch to Fi within the 30 days of my order being placed
Yeah you can do that. They don't care if you're truly gonna use their SIM card once you activate it. I simply took it out and use another SIM card with the phone they sent me. No prob at all

For me it happened during the payment process. There was a screen where you can type in a promo code.

If people are saying that you can use a different sim from day one, it means it's unlocked. So if I toss the google sim and just pay $20+ for 4 months and cancel service I don't need to ask for unlocking later?

Yes, the phone is unlocked already. No need for unlock code or anything.

Just don't use the Fi sim in another phone (other than the S22) in order to keep the $500 promo credit.

That would be correct, BUT you have to see what that means :-); Ask them after 4 months, what would be the remaining balance.

"Samsung Galaxy S22
From $12.50/mo or $799.99 $299.99"

If you pay up front and lets forget about the tax for now, then you are out $300. If you choose the monthly payment $12.50, then after 4 months, you still owe (300-12.5*4) = $300 - $50 = $250

If after 4 months or 120 days and they make you pay $250+$500=$750 for leaving Fi, then I would be wrong; However, I do not think so!

Actually I contacted Fi support, they said if I ever leave Fi I would have to pay the remaining balance owed on the phone.

I am doing the same thing now as I won't activate Fi until 4/23/22 and I use it on my current network now over the eSim.

When I bought the Pixel 4a 5g with a similar deal 1.5 years ago I removed the Google FI sim immediately and activated Google FI on the e-sim with my port-in number. I then inserted my Total Wireless physical sim card to use my regular phone number. I kept the e-sim active for 3 months which was what was required by Google FI for that deal. (4 months for this deal) It worked perfectly.

Is this method still working for this deal?
