Glad to hear you are able to place an order. New delivery date for me is now May 18 ~ 20
I have seen cases where order date is later than mine but already received one in hand.
Looks like google fi has serious problem with their inventory management. This is not the first time I heard (first time going through the pain I guess lol) about this huge delay…
Yeah, I've heard how Google has really poor inventory management. Had the same experience when they launched the Nexus tablets a long time back. You'd think they'd have gotten better by now.

Whoa, my date is May 20-22. That's crazy!

Thanks, I ordered the black S22 256GB. Did you say they shipped in a week's time or you received it in a week?

Would I need to cancel the service after 4 months? Or should I pause it?

Does adding another person to your existing Fi plan qualify as a new customer?

I read it as no. However, creating a new account is the same right? I only have 1 line and it is $20/month plus tax

"You must be a new Fi customer. A new Fi customer is someone who has never had Fi service or someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion."

You can see the difference in this sentence 😂 "You must be a new Fi customer. A new Fi customer is someone who has never had Fi service or someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion."

Just want to give you guys an update. I received my phone yesterday and I transferred my # through Google Voice and activated the s22 with the Fi sim card. After that I took out the Fi sim (without resetting the ph) and uninstalled the Google Fi app. I put in my Mint mobile sim after and started using it. I just checked the Fi savings progress today and the days are counting down (see the attachment). It looks like we can take out the Fi sim and use our current carrier without any issue with this method. We just need to make sure that we don't put the Fi sim card into another phone.
I decided to take a risk and do the same; but I did factory reset the phoneSmilie. Lets see how things will go. Saw the following text message sent to 244444 from the phone after inserting my main carrier sim: "Google is re-verifying the phone# of this device. Learn more: https://urlhasbeenblocked/LHCS9W". But it appears to be an auto-verification process for the phone's Google account, not Google Fi! The FI sim is now sitting there in a drawer and fingers crossed!

Has success actually been reported when doing this?

The Fi site says Plus, get up to $500 when you trade-in an eligible device. I can't find what you have to trade in?

I only use a couple of GB of $15 month 4GB MintMobile plan but have a crappy signal with my old Moto E4 Plus.

It looks like I could pay $300 plus $40 a month for a couple of GB on Fi and then switch back to Mint at the end of 4 months. Might this new phone be better at receiving a signal from local towers?

Has anyone had better luck with weak signals using the Galaxy S22.

Thanks!

Trade-in is virtually the last step. From what I can tell, you only get good trade value from iPhones and Galaxy S models. Maybe some newer Pixels.

Don't expect much for other models. Was offered $164 for iPhone SE 2020. $125 for Pixel 4a5g.

Highly doubt they take stuff like a Moto E4 at all. My G6 was not on the trade list.

Anyone has issues with battery life of the ultra? I'm not sure mine has a defective battery but the battery life drops like 1-2 percent every hour when I'm not using it. Samsung technician logged into my phone remotely to limit usage of the battery hog apps already....even in the battery saving mode it's battery life sucks big time....🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's true that only iPhones and Samsung models get good trade-in value. Motos and LGs are listed but don't get much. I'm trading in a refurb Samsung A51 for $70 credit, which is the same price I paid for (with reward points) to get it from Tracfone. Would have liked to trade in an iPhone 11 for $320, but I won't have the reward points to get it free from Total Wireless until end of May. I wish I can know for sure if Fi will keep the current promotion until May-June, so I can cancel my current order and trade in the iPhone 11 then.

Plenty... See the following for the previous S20 promotion:
https://slickdeals.net/f/14974247-samsung-galaxy-s20-5g-299-with-google-fi-activation?page=26#commentsBox

I think there are also some people who successfully did and reported it at the beginning of this thread.
