I just inserted my AT&T sim and put the Fi sim in my drawer. I got a message saying that the phone needs to restart to make configurations for the new SIM.
Never seen something like that before - is this something that Google puts on the phones? Worried if they are able to find out that another sim is in the phone and not the Fi.
no, i think whenever you switch sims it says that. btw, how exxactly is the fi activation? you setup the phone like you normally do and AFTER full setup you download fi app to activate?

You can setup esim verizon yourself? Or you need to call?
Theoretically, you can set it up yourself. You can also theoretically do it through the chat or via phone support.

But there's a better than decent chance it will not go smoothly. This is reported regularly on the net, especially with Verizon. I'd try to set it up first by myself. Then try via chat. If they can't do it, you have to demand it be escalated to a higher tier support agent which will take 1-5 days.

This is the risk I'm not willing to take, yet. A bunch of posts on here are from people who have done this deal in the past and simply activated the sim card, used it a few times, and then took it out and forgot about it. Maybe they used it a few times intermittently.

To me this is a bit risky compared to just using the dual sim mode. With that said, if Verizon can't activate my eSIM card, I'll probably resort to that option and just risk it.

When did you place your order, and what was the estimated delivery date?
Order for my S22 256gb (Green) placed April 19th (this was after the S22 went out of stock for a while, and then a few colors in 256gb became available again).
Original estimated delivery date was April 26-28, which got delayed to May 1-3, and finally became May 6-8.
Phone was shipped May 2nd and arrived today, May 7th.

Thanks for the time-line. The estimated delivery date for my 128GB Black S22 ordered on 4/22 was pushed from 5/4-5/6 back to 5/11-5/13 and has stayed that way for a week. Card was charged on 4/30. Hopefully they will ship it next week.

Did anyone else get a referral future credit? I'm a previous Fi customer from over a year ago, not sure where it came from. It also wouldn't let me add other referrals over it.

What section is that shown under? I entered a referral code when I set up my account/order but I can't see it reflected anywhere

Ordered (S22 128GB White) 5/5, ETA 5/20-5/22

Will plan to port GV #, and will try to use the Amex credits

Theoretically that would price the phone at:
$300 + tax (23 for me) = 323
$25 x 4 (4 months' service) = 100
$3 GV
-25x3 (Amex discounts)
----------------------------------------------
~$351

If all works out, not a bad price for an unlocked flagshi# that'll probably net 400-500 on trade-in for S23
I've been reading up on the Amex offer details on other sites and there doesn't seem to be confirmation that the device purchase will trigger the credit. How are you planning on doing that?

exactly what i am planning to do. will see how it goes next week. wonder if i can do the Verizon esim setup before activating on Fi? does the phone need to opened/turned on to activate Fi or is it something that can be done online entirely?
I activated the eSim with Verizon and the gen on the phone asked for the IMEI2 of the phone and that was it. Been working ok for the last 2 weeks

Did a deal in 2020.

Trade kit shipped a week after phone shipped.

The trade return period starts the day they ship the return kit, iirc. You will get email notification and tracking info when kit ships.
Heard some bad things about trade in last time...but I traded in a Galaxy S8 and got the full value.

Going to try again with an Iphone X I just bought from visible. $212 for the Iphone X, $238 trade in.

Ordered S22 Ultra with 128 GB. Shows 32% utilization after few SW updates. Trying to upgrade it to 256 GB with the same $500 promo. Google fi customer service won't swap. Anyone in the same boat?
Honestly surprised at how many people are going with 128GB with the 256GB being only $50 more (rather than $100 for iphones)
