Skip to the last minute if you dont want to watch the whole thing but basically the thrustmaster is overall a better wheel.

Dang. My dumb self bought the cheapo old version since the t248 wasn't available for Xbox at the time. At least I only paid $120 to try it out

I was considering the T300RS GT which has better wheel (belt driven) on sale at $399 but the T248 (more buttons and a display) at $299 will seal the deal.

Tempting to burn my seemingly endless GS GCs on this since, you know, they refuse to UNbundle the consoles. I refuse buy their useless junk, and refuse to do their work for them (resell said junk). They should pay us to sell their crap, not the other way around. 😡

On Xbox no. Not without a 3rd party adapter like a drive hub that lets you use multiple brands of gear together.

On console all sim racing gear has to be run through the wheel base (generally)

On PC you can combine any USB gear together as you see fit.

The Thrustmaster TH8A is a much better shifter than the driving force. More metal parts. Better gating and overall feels closer to a real shifter.

It can also be switched between push/pull sequential and H Pattern. Ppl often mod the Driving Force shifter to get this functionality.

There are of course even better feeling shifters for more. If you can find some big box stores like Microcenter or Best Buy, or a Sim Racing cafe to try it out do so.

To some the $100 difference is well worth it. It's a common upgrade. To others that don't drive H pattern cars much it's probably not worth it.
