The free updates don't include upgrades.
IOW, when Office 2024 (or whatever) comes out you don't get to upgrade to it. However, you will still receive security, bug, and critical updates to your Office 2021 for the life of the product (thru Oct 13, 2026).

Also, read the ONE COMPUTER part as something that you control. If a computer that you had this Office 2021 on dies, you are fully able to license the same Office 2021 on a new computer, provided you log into your Microsoft account and remove the old computer activation. It's a full retail license that is fully transferrable - as long as it's only on one computer at a time.

Also², If you already have (or have had) a Microsoft account tied to a subscription Microsoft product (Office365/Microsoft365) Microsoft may not allow you to use that account for perpetual products (although this isn't explained when you try to use it). Just create a new, free Microsoft account and activate it that way. You can use the key you receive for any valid email address (regardless of the email address you enter when purchasing the Office 2021 Pro).

I purchased from here in mid April. Last week my installation suddenly restricted my access as unlicensed. I called Microsoft support and they tried to help but unable to saying something to the effect this was MSDN licensed and ultimately I would have to contact the seller. I do not recommend this deal.

This might be just me, but anyone else getting a fraud warning or something when going to the site? My Opera GX is reporting that APWG reported that this is fraudulent. Anyone get this and have it work? I am still tempted to get it

Save that key in a safe place. There is a slim chance that you may be able to if you delete Office correctly from your old pc using Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a program. It's worked for me with Office 2013. The other option is to try and activate your key online and when you get the invalid key error to use the telephone activation method. Works best with a smart phone.

Tried purchasing multiple times but ran into too many issues. First started with being charged on my credit card from PS and getting the message stating "We are currently acquiring your license for this product. Please check back soon." waited a few hours and still nothing. forgot about it and checked again 5 days later to see my order was cancelled with no explanation. Initially thought I took too long to redeem so ordered it again today from StackSocial and received the same check back soon message. Got an email few hours later stating

Called my bank and verified they saw no charge declined or even attempted. Tried once more PS with another card with same results.
Just sharing my experience. wasted too much time and too much of a hassle to provide statements and pictures of my credit card to purchase

It did not require me to disable Norton 360. I had Office Professional Plus 2019 installed, which I uninstalled before the upgrade to 2021.

That looks like spam. I wouldn't provide that info to them either. Pick another seller from this thread. Several are cheaper with promo codes.

No need to turn off antivirus or anything. i bought office from softkeyworld and received license key instantly, they send me license key and Microsoft official redeem link. https://microsoft.com/redeem Then i redeem it in my Microsoft account. Currently it showing in subscription section.

There are no scams or frauds in softkeyworld, I don't know why you're getting this message, but I'm using ESET antivirus. I bought a total of 3 X office keys from softkeyworld. Successfully redeem all the keys to my Microsoft account without any problems. So I can recommend softkeyworld to you

Yeah just use an old windows license. Free!!! I used an old windows 7 and bingo got windows 11 pro on a clean install. No problem.

Any updates on this? Did the programs ever change to "Activated" below the Office logo?

I'm considering purchasing from urlhasbeenblocked since it's the cheapest option for Mac users but will go with one of the other providers if you're facing issues. TIA!
