I'm still using it today. 😂. Honestly, what kind of advancements have been done in 7 years in Microsoft Office products? Like the basic ones like Word and Excel?
EDIT: If they have full dark mode Excel, I'd consider upgrading. I'm talking about black cells and white text with a click of a button. In 7 years they were able to at least improve that.... right? Do tell!
Total was 27ish.

Was anyone able to use it on this to get Office from StackSocial for $40 ultimately?
But now Office 2021 has those features too.
So now, the key differentiators are feature updates and additional collaboration features like live chatting and comments. Office 2021 will get security updates but no new features. And with 365, you get the smartphone/tablet apps as well as installing on any and all device with up to 5 devices actively being used at once versus 1 device only with Office 2021.
So now I can wholly recommend the standalone one-time Office 2021. The collaborative features are truly awesome and was what got our company to go to 365. Our 40+ staff could view and edit the same set of documents without worrying about someone locking the document. Previously, Office 2019 was only recommended by solitary people who didn't need to work with other people.
And for $50, it's a no-brainer if you're not into subscriptions. For regular price, it's hard to justify the standalone version because by the time your subscription costs equal the cost of the standalone, you would've gotten many years of usage and feature updates. Or you're the type to stick with a single version for a very long time. Like t hose people still using Office 2003 or 2007.
