In before the OMG I WON'T PAY AN ANNUAL FEE crowd
150k pts is $1650 in cash with a Schwab card (potentially far more if used for certain travel)
Plus you get a slew of credits (of varying degree of usability) worth many hundreds of dollars more, most of which you can double-dip since they're calendar year based.... plus access to the best airport lounges around (though be aware you stop getting free guest access in Feb 2023 unless you spend a TON on the card)
For most folks this isn't a long-term keeper card (unless either you fly a lot out of a home airport with a centurion and you can get most of the value out of even the weirder monthly credits) but it's certainly highly profitable as a signup/holding for a year.... (sometimes a second depending if retention is offering anything decent- though the loss of free guests will ding that some)

If i got a Plat bonus years ago, dont even remember which year but definity more than 5 years back, would i qualify to get this?
it's usually about 7 years, but when you apply, it will let you know before processing the application if you are not eligible for the bonus. A pop-up shows up. Or you can chat with an agent online and ask them to give you a list of all your current and past card. If your old Platinum is not listed, it means that it fell off your Amex history, and you are eligible for the bonus.

Based on the rewards calculator, it seems like to get $1500 in rewards, you would have to use the points on flights and select gift cards. Might not be as good as a deal as it looks based on how you plan on redeeming the points.

I thought AMEX had moved to a one-time signup bonus per card per lifetime promo model?
