50/50 sounds like a nice trade!!!
Personally, I'd be very skeptical of anyone offering a 50/50 split or anything close to it, unless it's a close personal friend. It just doesn't make sense to pay that much for the person providing the funds, opening the account and assuming they'll get the promo (and Wells took the promo down early, so we don't even know for certain if the bonuses will still be paid … their terms state they can end the offer at any time). In fact, I'd be somewhat skeptical of anyone offering more than $50. Might be someone just planning to send some kind of PayPal or Venmo and then dispute the transaction as fraudulent saying the code didn't work. Or just promise they'll give it after they get the bonus but then just disappear. It's kind of an iffy transaction for both sides in selling codes like this, which is why Slickdeals limits such trades to $5 gift cards if I recall correctly.

Wells did a similar offer a few months ago and it will likely come around again for those anxious to see it. Interest rates are going up and banks are seeing more potential profits from expanding their customer bases, particularly with business accounts in hopes of cross-marketing business loans, etc.

I was able to open up a sole proprietor business account and took advantage of the offer. I didn't need to have any business licenses or permits to open my business initiate checking account.

Yeah, worth keeping an eye on … sellers might be dropping the price to $10 or $20 today since the deal ends tomorrow and it'll be worthless. Of course, you'd still have to wing it and hope to get it opened in time unless you've already got an appointment for tomorrow. And at least one of the eBay listings has the $15,000 balance requirement rather than $5,000, so make sure to take note of the details.

Yeah, they're pretty much worthless at this point unless someone happens to already have an appointment for this afternoon. Highly doubt anyone is going to to run off to a branch and actually get everything processed in time now when it expires today. Counting on a bank dropping everything and squeezing you in last minute probably wouldn't be the brightest move. And it took about an hour in the bank, so not exactly a quick in and out.
