Clever design. I wish someone would do something like that with 18650 and AA. I know that would be more complicated due to the different heights and voltage.

Not seeing a coupon is there a code?

AA -> D: I used the eneloop battery adapter trick.

I got the rechargeable lantern years back. Used only 1 times and battery died when it sat on idle. Instead of getting another lantern, I got the utility light and it worked out quite well for my camping trip.
