the search bar should say "amazon warehouse earth week deals". this will filter out only the things that are on sale right now. if what you're looking for doesn't come up, then it's probably already sold out or wasn't on sale.
i guess it's good for me that there so many clueless people because i cleaned up

after i checked out, there was another still available for $800 and another with a waterblock for $840.
PS, there was also a WD PR4100 NAS with 4x 8TB WD plus drives in it for 672 after discount. usually the diskless version is $500 and the 32GB version is usually $1650. potentially got a steal here. will sell off the enclosure and add the drives to my NAS if they come out good.
