That aside, I own the push version of this mower, and its an absolute revelation. You may not need the self-propel because of its lightweight nature, and the lack of maintenance means you dont have to go on a goose chase looking for ethanol-free gas and/orclear out your carb every season. Been using mine for five years with zero issues.
To juxtapose with these awesome mowers...avoid battery-powered snow throwers like the plague...even if you see a serious markdown due to clearance (which should have been around now, lol), just dont...not enough power, clog like hell, and they usually dont have that sturdy build quality that you need for 3 ft+ snow drifts.
If you don't have a yard that would warrant two batteries (maybe 1/3 acre or less), and are OK with the 4 year warranty instead of 8, the price is about right at $385.
My new home is just under .15 acres, so the self-propel mower is overkill anyway but I want the brushless motor and 80v. I think this is the better buy for my situation. For larger yards, the Costco is likely a better buy.
Though the model is different the feature set is very similar, I don't see any reason to feel one is older or newer, they are different as the lower priced one only has the one battery slot.

I think the Costco one is better. This looks like an older model. Also the Costco has 2 batteries. Also Costco seems to be sold out in a lot of places. So if you can find one. Grab it.

My biggest problem with battery powered ones are that battery go bad very soon and it's hard to mow .2 acer lawn with 2 40v batteries. Maybe it's issue with mine but that's the genuine issue that I faced.
I have the 40v green works with 1+ acre. I also have 4 batteries ranging from 2AH to 4AH. It takes me 2 full charges two mow the front and back yard after the winter (the first mowing in the spring), however from a maintenance perspective I can do it with a single charge amongst all 4 batteries.
I've had this lawn mower for 5+ years now.
Also I purchased the refurbished from woot. My batteries weren't even new.
They have this for $350 with another seller on Amazon free shipping.
I do not mind getting the job partially done then waiting to finish. For now I have three 2 AH 80 Volt batteries as the old mower had one that still works I replaced. I had it for four years and one battery just died the blade was shot and the motor seemed to be struggling. It was also not brushless. Made more sense to replace than to get a new blade and new batteries.
Difference in models is that the one they reviewed had the 5AH battery instead of 4AH.
This review turned me off on this purchase, I was close though.
CR is also giving pretty high marks to Ryobi 40v mowers and those plastic decks are complete garbage. The blades cut into the sides of the deck and ruin the mower.
