Do these things have a noticeable impact versus the solid silicon bands? I imagine they breathe better but is it worth the upgrade if you're fine with the solid band?

They do significantly breathe better especially when running. On the bike, there is hardly any difference.

I've definitely noticed more breathability, but it's not super significant. If you're fine with the solids, probably not worth it. I just like the looks of some of the nike ones with the dual colors.

Stupid question. Do these only work on specific sizes of watches? Or is this wrist size?
I have a small wrist but use the larger watch size. I thought all the bands fit?

This band is for the smaller size watch (38/40/41mm depending on which version of the watch) and comes with 2 straps of different lengths. If you have the larger watch (42/44/45mm) then this band is not compatible.
