Well, it's a good thing that I said it was a good price from the batteries I've seen.

I consider myself a pretty good deal finder. So, if this is not the best deal that you've seen or have seen before. Then be sure to send me all the sarcastic replies and negative comments.

If I help just one person that can use this or hasn't seen it before, then I've accomplished my goal in posting this. Thanks

If I didn't just grab 2 of the compact 4ah batteries on that Maxtool deal yesterday, I would probably have bought a couple.

What deal was that?

I always get emails from them, but their "deals" are always retail pricing marked down from "inflated" prices. Like their entire clearance section is all retail prices.

Maxtool. They sold out of the kits and pulled it down. I ordered one and my wife ordered the other. Here is a screenshot.

That is true.... If it matters when both shipped by Amazon with free returns, the earlier post was/is a different seller that apparently, JB Tools in the OP just matched.

These 5amp with the older 18650 cells are often $10/amp or less (I have never paid over $100 for a pair with a charger), but do work great on most tools. A little sluggish on circular, chain and even some reciprocating saws, but will get the job done.

Note: For those using an adapter with DeWalt batteries for other brand tools, remember that for DeWalt and Milwaukee, the low level voltage to shut off is in the tool and not the battery. For Ryobi and Ridgid, the low voltage level shutoff is in the battery. You don't want to drain any of these completely, or good luck recharging.

I'm always happy to get a discount on batteries! I actually try to get the the lighter ones that everyone else hates (I get bad wrist pain). But my son uses the DeWalt 4Ah and 5Ah all day everyday.

Per amp, the 6amp XR and 4amp HP with charger and bag for $117 would be a better deal for me.
