I have this set. Worked great for me.
2 notes to consider:
1. The rubber smells. Really smells. I have it outside, so it is not a problem.
2. It comes on a 3x6 pallet. You should have space for delivery guys

That's for regular cast iron plates. These are RUBBER! Not trying to be rude, but in for one!

Not bumper plates, though. These are the in-between zone. You don't want to drop them hard, but some people like them better than bare steel.

can you still buy a gift card and purchase these if you aren't a member.

You don't have to buy a gift card, you can just buy it as a non-member with a 5% non-member fee

How well would this set hold up outside? I'd like to stick a rack on a concrete pad in the back yard.

My thoughts exactly! Rubber weights are never $1/lb.

Good deal here. I think the lowest it got was $299.

I paid this much about 8-12 months ago.

One downside: I keep the weights and bar in the garage and I've already noticed a little rust on the bar (maybe because I don't wipe it down after every workout?? ).
Many bars are like this, depending on the coating type and durability. You don't have to wipe it down after every workout, but once a month or so, you may want to give it a wipedown with some 3-in-1 oil.

Hit the knurls with a plastic bristle brush, lightly wipe it down with the oil, then take a clean rag and remove excess oil. Enough will stick to the metal and protect it.

Anyone else thinking of getting ten of these, one set for each finger? 300 pounds seems great for finger lifts for burly swole men like myself and njguy545.

99% of the people looking at this set will never need a lb more than this. Seems like a good deal.

Cheapest I remember was $249 or so. Combo of $100 off coupon and gift card. I missed it literally by a couple hours because I forgot to order it and it was OOS. So I think I'll grab this

I like this style, the rubber 45s are way easier to lift than the steel ones.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the 45's are standard 450mm diameter and are actually quite a bit smaller. It'll throw you off for deadlifts and olympic lifts unless you use blocks. For other stuff it doesn't matter.

Liquidated my old weights on Craigslist during the Covid peak and have been waiting for a decent olympic set to go on sale.
Thanks OP!
