The obscene and dick-move way this works, though, is that even if you're presented with final PayPal checkout showing "Offer Applied" and the $60 credit, reducing your credit card total, and then you go through final checkout, BuyDig/PayPal retracts the offer AFTER THE FACT, arbitrarily without explanation. They may claim it's because one didn't meet the terms and conditions, but it's too late once they apply the discount at checkout, "reflecting back on the final purchase," taking their money back. Total crooks.

PayPal applies the $60 credit at checkout and confirms that the credit card will be billed the final total minus $60; but when the charge goes through, it's at the higher amount anyway. check what you were charged from PayPal as I believe the discount is given on their end. I bought something and even though the Buydig invoice didn't show the $60 discount, I wasn't billed full price from PayPal

Trust me, I checked that and if you read carefully what I wrote, that's not what I'm talking about. Even though the problem is "at" PayPal, this is a case of BuyDig retracting the $60 voucher/discount after final checkout. The BuyDig order confirmation would have never shown the discount -- as you should know, that's not how these PayPal offers work.

It might be because PayPal doesn't have visibility into the breakdown of merchandise/taxes/shipping, since the offer only applies if the merchandise subtotal is at least $250, and BuyDig can go in and verify whether or not that's the case.

Doesn't matter. Arbitrary application of vague terms and conditions after the fact and after applying a discount at final checkout is a violation of all consumer protection laws regarding final checkout, such as what happens as I described at PayPal. You don't pay for something using a credit card at a store, and then later gladly accept that the merchant decided to charge you more. It's flatly illegal.

Thanks! Grabbed a lens ( https://www.buydig.com/shop/produ...ras-Silver ) which had a 10% off coupon applied. The paypal checkout showed the $60 discount and my paypal confirmation email after purchasing shows it too, so all looks good there.

Thanks, I was able to add the offer to my PayPal account this time as well. I had this deal last time, and I just waited until there was a decent deal to finally use it, which last time was a LG27GN880-B on sale for $319.00 with another $60 off for the PayPal promotion. There's still a month left to find something you might want.
