Pretty bad reviews but since most mention it's being slow it's most likely due to mechanical hard drive so be prepared to install M.2 SSD to gain good speeds, while mechanical can be still used as storage (install m.2, use program to copy the old drive then erase old one for storage which should be pretty simple). As far as CD/DVD it would just add extra weight and nowadays getting used rarely IMO.
As far as no touchscreen…..complaining for its price of $300 is….
It has full HD 15.6" lcd, 11th gen Intel i3 CPU, backlit keyboard, option for M.2 drive and while 8gb is basic it's still more than most of the laptops below $400 offer (it has 4GB soldered and one sodimm available with 4GB in it so 8GB stick or maybe even 16GB can be added).
WiFi supports AX 2x2 as well as Bluetooth 5.1

Based on this review [laptopmedia.com], the RAM is upgradable and it does have a sd card reader. There is also an additional M.2 slot for ssd.

I agree with the other comments. Out of the box, this laptop will be slow and offer a poor user experience due to the mechanical hard drive. If you have the technical savvy to add a SSD drive into the M2 slot, install Windows on the SSD, then format the 1 TB mechanical drive for extra storage, then this will become a solid machine with good performance for the price. You can get a 240 GB M2 SSD for around $40 to $50.

i bought the laptop and just received it today. omg is this thing slow!!!! it takes forever to get into a webpage!!!. currently cloning hdd to a spare ssd i have. but man i hope the hdd is the problem with this pc.

If cloning doesn't work, just get windows installed on usb and do a fresh install. Skip the step where it asks for the windows key. Don't connect to internet. Soon as you boot it up normally then connect to the internet. It will recognize your windows key in your motherboard. And no bloatware.

yea for sure, just replaced the hdd with a 500gb ssd that i had around. took an hour to clone the hdd to ssd using macrium free edition. noticibly faster when browsing. no more lag. currently installing all windows updates and getting rid of the junk

I ordered this at a local office depot and still haven't picked it up. I ended up grabbing a gateway from another deal. It came in yesterday and it's nice. Giving up wifi 6, 15.6" screen and $100 more, but it has a faster processor (4 core i5), double the ram, and it has a 512gb ssd. There's an additional m.2 slot on the bottom of the computer (two screws) for expandability - Gateway is a subsidiary of Acer
