I used 2X 6 months prepaid Tello plans from StackSocial and the coverage is pretty spotty. I've heard that T-Mobile MVNO coverage is the worst due to not having access to partner roaming. I get spots with no data but half bars frequently. Switched to the $10 unlimited tablet data plan from T-Mobile and coverage and speed seems to be improved. I just use Google Voice for SMS and VOIP calls.
If you use their recycled numbers then you'll get a crap ton of spam calls. Once I had to call customer service to get a new number assigned, their customer service seems to be decent at the time.

I think the problem with recycled numbers is widespread because I have two phones with Red Pocket and get 2-3 spam, telemarket, etc calls A DAY. I am on the do not call registry, use blockers and still they come.

I was getting like 10 calls or more, some looking for the original number owner like clients and workers (landscaping). I feel kind of bad for that person because I was getting 2 factor authentication texts as well so that person is locked out. Not sure how he lost his number to me though.
What is a 'new customer'? I used Tello before, and I have been with Mint for 5 months. Can I get this offer if
(1) I use the same phone number and same online account?
(2) I use the same phone number and open a new online account?
(3) I have to use a different phone number and a new online account?
(3) is not an option actually.
You can definitely use the same number as long as it is not currently on Tello. I always create a new account with a referral so that I can get the $10 in Tello dollars and don't have to worry about whether using an old account will disqualify the promotion. I usually just move the period around in my gmail account so it looks like a different email address.
No, regular price is $10 a month plus some small taxes and fees, depending on where you're located
You can also downgrade to a cheaper plan if you don't need unlimited minutes and 1GB. And since it is a monthly plan, you can upgrade or downgrade as needed. For example, in month 13 you purchase the 300 minute/1GB plan for $8. Then, only use half the minutes/data, you can roll your unused allotments by renewing a day early. So for month 14, you purchase 100 minute/500MB plan for $6 and roll 150 minutes and 500MB from the previous month.
Also, if you use a referral when creating the Tello account, you can apply the $10 of Tello Dollars to get month 13 free. And again, if you manually renew one day before the automatic renewal, you can roll any leftover data from month 12.

Your first GB of data will come from your high speed allowance.
