There's stories about that with every major manufacturer these days.
Just get a model with features you want, a decent warranty, and in the price range you want.

Not a good deal if your fridge breaks down after some short time. Just had an LG repaired yesterday for a failed compressor (evaporator coil was full of liquid). Idiot companies that cut corners on parts and then spend more than a brand new fridge on repairs.

I don't have this model, nor do I I tend to but I'll say one thing. I'll never get another French door style fridge with one large drawer inside. Having to open both doors to get to what's in the drawer is annoying and a stupid design choice.

Lg failure is the most expensive part and labor intensive failure thats the problem. It's not like the fan motor or thermostat went out and can be replaced in 30 minutes for $200 its a $350 part and $350 labor repair.

My 5 year 9 month old LG fridge stopped cooling yesterday. Repair guy today said it's the compressor and he averages 2 bad LG compressor calls per day 😲

As long as you have an inch or two behind the fridge (open all the way to the top without any obstructions) you should be fine. Typically the water line and power cord need about an inch anyway. I placed two small pieces of 2x4 in the back of my fridge to keep it from being too close, it's done fine.
