unlocking a Tracfone after a year of service, but after number has been 'recycled'

We tend to buy those HSN Tracfones that come with a year of service. When that year is up, we typically get another phone for about $60 - $80 that comes with another year of service.

Last time, I got a Moto G Power (2020) with pretty good specs. Evidently, I forgot to write on the calendar when the year of service ended, but it was about 3 weeks ago.

Obviously, we had a full year of service on the phone, but I didn't remember to call in to have it unlocked.

Is there any way to do this, now that her phone # has probably been recycled, and it is no longer under active service?

Sorry, no. One of the requirements for unlocking is to have active service. You could try to add a new number to your account with it but no guarantees that would work.
