What you should do is order it, and when it comes in, look at the ram stick installed. There will be a brand name, and a model number/part number for the RAM stick in there. Just Google that, and usually you can find someone on Ebay selling that exact same thing for very little money. That way you have a (somewhat) matched pair, but only have to buy one.

IMO:
Windows 10 is a plus at this time
SD and DVD drive are a plus
Here's a link to Acer for better info than eBay - https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con....BH7AA.002
Yes, the 512GB storage is SSD of some kind, either SATA or NVMe.

After some experiments with the CPU fan I can say I think it's the fan that is vibrating and not something in the BIOS.

A Zalman fan running at the same speed is smooth whereas this Cooler Master fan at full speed actually bounces around on my desk. It's not clear if the fan is possibly unbalanced, the drive circuitry, or just the way the motor is wound. Reducing the voltage has no effect on the vibration.

So a better quality fan may solve the issue.

If anyone rewinds the fan motor for a lower kV or different termination I would be interested in the results.

If anyone cares, the CPU fan is actually a "9025" fan so 90mm by 25mm thick.

I wonder if removing the shroud would help with the vibration any. Most Intel OEM fans don't have a shroud. Hmmm, kind of a destructive test for something that might not do anything at all...

Measured with Kill-A-Watt

Powered off: 1W
W10 sleep: 1-2W
W10 idle: 30-70W
W10 watching youtube video at 1080p: 50-110W

Noob question : How do you know its 1 not 2?

Almost Every pc build on youtube mentions 2
It has 2 slots, and comes with one stick of 8GB, and an empty slot so you need only one additional stick of 8GB to get 16, They were trying to save the one they replied to from paying for 2 additional sticks when they only need 1 more.

Can anyone with this machine please tell me if it supports PCIe bifurcation, ie using a 4x4 lane card in its x16 PCIe slot? I want to put a PCIe adapter in it that supports 4 NVMe drives, each x4. You can check support by going into the bios and checking for either "bifurcation" or something that lets set the PCIe lane configuration of the x16 slot. Thanks in advance!

If it does then it's not in the BIOS settings. It's more like a laptop than a desktop.

Edit:
I should be more clear by what I meant. There are no BIOS settings related to bifurcation but there is a possibility it supports automatic configuration. Unfortunately I have no way to test it at this time.

I wonder if something like this: "be quiet! Pure Wings 2 92mm, BL045, Cooling Fan" would have screws that line up? Fan sizes are something I have little experience with. Not sure if the holes have to be exact.. the Noctua complete cooling solutions look great, but I'm not ready to dump $50 on this yet.

Even if they line up there are a few problems. Even though it's a "92mm", the Be Quiet is a smaller fan.

The way the mounts are done on the Be Quiet fan it would hit the heatsink mounting studs. You might be able to cut the fan mounts off on one side but...

The Be Quiet fan probably doesn't move enough air. Because of the small heatsink in a case with no airflow the fan needs to be able to run pretty fast. I think the stock fan is like 4700 RPM max (though it may not need all of that). The Be Quiet fan is 1900 RPM max.

It's possible to run at a high speed and be smooth. It will be loud because of the air moving but at least it won't vibrate. To actually be silent/quiet you would need to replace both the heatsink with a better, bigger one and with a lower RPM fan. Currently I'm just trying to solve the vibration problem.

Thanks for the great info. I might just save up for a proper solution then (low profile heatsink & fan).
