It seems that HP "sorta" botched this one.
People like:
-Things that look and perform cheap, that are cheap.
-Things that look cheap and perform well, that are mid-priced.
-Things that look and perform like high-end, that are priced accordingly.
Apparently, people do not like:
-Things that look high end and perform poorly, that are mid-priced. Which is this model in a nutshell.
As another user posted, top build-quality and perfect tablet-sized chromebook with keyboard that ultimately fails with mediocre performance and for me, a failing stylus.

I mean, the nice pen and keyboard case that are included could cost $299 alone for a surface or ipad, so in one sense the tablet is almost free.
However, this still is a relatively unique device at its price point, and for me the best thing about it is that aspect ratio. If the LTE model came on sale I would be really tempted against my better judgment

Also, Mediatek has released since the Kompanio 828 that is much better than the 7c while being similary priced, and the Kompanio 1380 will help a lot to close the gap while remaining cheap.
My dream is a Chromebook with a DImensity 9000-type of chip tho.

I hate Microsofts N-Trig tech for drawing.
