I have an older Galaxy Note 10, BestBuy is offering $450 for in-store trade-in. Unlocked 256 gb S22 is has reduced -100 price at $750
$750 + $50 tax - $450 (trade-in) = $350
Samsung has an elevated trade-in currently as well, but they are only offering $375 on my Note 10.

for details of what to ask for from the reps at bestbuy to get the deal to work.
Seems like at some bestbuys, you can trade in multiple phones YMMV

Requires activation now, the activate later discount is expired.
Did you try showing them the steps on the mobile app? It literally says "Activate Today."

The breakthrough came when she realized that the trade in promo is completely separate from a phone purchase. So we started over, and she rang up a stand-alone trade in. It was through this process that she was able to select and apply the Samsung trade-in promotion, which results in the correct promo balance being applied to a gift card. Then the POS was triggered to ring up a phone purchase, and allowed for the activation savings to be applied, and then allowing the gift card to be applied toward the purchase.

I had to go to another store after one store was not even ready to try it

I think I messed up getting 128GB for 3~370 when I could have gotten ( 256) for same price from samsung.. ( cancelled 2 orders due to not able to make up my mind)... Oh well..Lets me enjoy the S22 now..
As others have said, the trade-ins are a separate transaction with each phone resulting in a gift card. They took each phone, entered info about me and the phone, and that resulted in a gift card. Each transaction receipt showed a "normal" trade-in value plus an additional amount from Samsung promo.
Then for the purchase of the phone, they apply those gift cards as payment.
