I peeked at the promotion flyer while the employee was looking at it. Date shows 4/4 - 7/3 on the top of the title, so I am assuming this promo will last till July.

so.. what's stopping people from making 2 purchase with 2 trade in and just return the second phone unopened? (putting the ethnics aside)
No S22 phones in stock, so they said they'd ship it. Tried to create a new At&T account, but they said they can't process it via shipping.
Tried a new Tmobile account, but the computer wouldn't process it. So after an hour, they couldn't figure out how to do it, and they said to just finish it online at my home. I wasn't quite sure what they meant, so I asked if I could take the Best Buy GC home and finish it later, they said sure, no problem!
So I got a gift card with no strings attached!

1. They added it as a trade-in to the purchase or they claim only the maxed out version of the trade-in phone gets the full value.
1A. They did it wrong. Like many others have said, the trade-in is a separate transaction. Adding it to the purchase is not going to work. The second part is an outright lie to get you to leave. I asked them to add the maxed out model just for lols, of course it showed the same amount as the base model.
2. They point out that the disclosure says "Not all phones are eligible for trade-in and trade-in value may vary." Therefore just leave it.
2. I'm sure it meant something to the legal department, but if you are trying to trade-in a phone listed on the page, it shouldn't matter. They're still just trying to get rid of you.
3. They claim that the $300 activation discount is part of the trade-in promo.
3A. Another big fat lie because they are lazy and they want you out of the store. It is even laughable because if that's true, someone who's trying to trade-in an S9+ for $200 would have to pay them extra $100 to get a new phone. What a bunch of idiots.
4. They can't navigate to the promotion page from BestBuy.com homepage and claim that SlickDeals is a sketchy website who faked the page to scam them.
4A. Tell them Google "Best Buy Samsung Trade in Promo", it's literally the first non-ad result.
5. They claim that they can't do a trade-in and there is no where to put the promo code "samsung"
5A. The exact phrase the manager/supervisor told the employee what to do after knowing he can't get rid of me was "Do a mock up trade-in and see what happens". And that's how the trade-in promo finally worked.
BTW, for someone who's probably earning minimum wage, the employee who help me with the transaction was a lot more professional and patient and less condescending than the store manager/supervisor.

My rep told me he has done the Samsung deal before and told me he can attach it to the order, I have none of that, told him that one of my friend did it before and this is the ONLY way to get the correct price without wasting both of our time

It is hard to find a staff who has even courtesy to listen and read about their own offer details.
I was totally denied at one store not 1 time but 4-5 times on different days. I always thought one day I will get a nice staff but no luck!!
Eventually I went to a different store and somehow that guy initially denying, went back to find the details and then he was very supportive to make it work.
