This is an amazing laptop. LOVE the screen, very high quality and I think this is the screen ratio laptops should be coming in.

I got stupidly lucky months ago when Walmart put these on clearance for $199.99 here locally. Was able to snag one via Brickseek. Totally YMMV, as I don't see myself getting that kind of lucky again.

Yes, it is 8GB soldered dual channel ram, so no expansion. With Windows 11, I've seen no issue to have more than 8GB for my needs. Even done some light gaming, design work, etc.

There is a single M2 slot, which houses the initial 512GB drive. I've since upgraded that to a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus since they've gotten so cheap.

USB-C charging and a mini-barrel plug charger, so plenty of flexibility there.

It is very light, yet very solidly built in my opinion. Aluminum and not plastic.

Nice finger print reader for security and Windows Hello. I think the only thing that'd be an awesome add, is if the screen was touch. But not complaining that it doesn't have it.

I normally have ~10 Chrome tabs open, two Firefox tabs open, Slack, Trello, Spotify, and a Youtube video running all at once.

Is 8gb in dual channel going to be enough for my above daily workload?

Yea the rest of the specs seem respectable. But the 8gb max memory is a let down.

In the short term it would be ok, but may notice a slow down every now and then. May not age as well depending on future use/software.

Completely different laptop and use cases. Major difference with the one you linked is a 15.6" screen with 1080p resolution.

Has the speaker volume issue on Swift 3 been fixed on this model?
Have to use earbuds or connect to Alexa to actually hear comfortably.
Have a Swift 3 and my phone volume is far louder.

lol, I'm not a "serious" gamer, as I had the 3080 Ti already available from other means (Tech Side Business, Mining). And yes, obviously more RAM is going to improve for heavy game use, but it is all dependent on your games/apps. Some are resource hogs (Warzone), while others aren't. This is still first and foremost my ultra light travel companion, and not a daily driver.

Ah, had I thought you meant the screen is same as a laptop manufactured by Microsoft.
BTW, I wanted to buy that one for my mom (needs to do Skype & use MS Word & Chrome) but it used to sell for $450. Frown
